J.D Photography - Family Portraits

The time has come again when I have to nag at Jake and bend his arm to get in front of the lens so I can have an up to date family portrait for our photo wall.

We are so lucky that we are both photographers and have our own portable studio meaning we can take professional photos as and when we like, in the comfort of our own home. It's a good thing too because I'm sure no studio (apart from mine when I eventually open one) would allow a 15 week old puppy and two house rabbits in front of the backdrop!

Since Bunny had his castration, him and Nike don't get on at all anymore so we can't let them out to play at the same time for fear they harm each other. Then there's Baker, although he doesn't usually go near them and used to be afraid, we can't risk having a Collie/Lurcher loose with rabbits...
So this portrait was a bit of an experiment. It didn't turn out perfect, but I am happy enough with it for personal use - it only took me about 10 minutes on Photoshop anyways!

The hardest shot to get was Bunny and I! He doesn't like to be held and had to be bribed by his special sweeties...hence why he is facing my hand and not the camera. The colour coordination was unintentional but I think it looks sweet haha. I can't wait to get it printed, framed and hung up.

Here are some extra shots we got while playing around...

Haha :) What do you think? I love them and my awesome little family. I'm looking forward to getting my Mam and Dad in the studio too! Do you have regular family photos taken? I think it's important. I'd love to see yours so link me!

And one last image just to compare from last year....
