Inked & Awesome - Kelsy Bremmer

Name: Kelsy Bremmer
Age: 23

How old were you when you got your first tattoo and what was it?
I was 18 when I got my first tattoo. I always wanted a tattoo and Celtic crosses always inspired me and gave me courage. My boyfriend designed my first tattoo. Tattoo's are important for me, they tell my story my life struggles and positivity.

What is your employment status/occupation and do your tattoos effect it?

I am currently studying Make-up & Hair design. It doesn't really effect me as at my school people are always curious and open about it. In our society it is normal to have a tattoo even - if they have no meaning at all.

What is your favorite? What is the meaning behind it?
I have a willow tree on my back. it is missing it's leafs and a heart in the bark,. there is one leaf hanging on the tree.. I love it so much.. it shows my struggle with myself that my hart was empty but then when i met my boyfriend it is growing with love that's the reason for the one leaf hanging on the tree.

Do you have a favorite artist who you go back to or do you collect different artists work? Why?

Yes she is called Candy Cane.. I love here playfulness and even if you want something that isn't her style she makes an awesome piece out of it with her and your own elements.

Have you faced any specific discrimination due to being tattooed?
Not yet.. one man asked me if I was a Christian because of the cross.. I never got any negative responses ever..

  1. This is a lovely post, i really like the way she's described each of her tattoo's and they are all really beautiful. The willow tree tattoo with the one heart as a leaf is so nice, so meaningful! Great post! xx

  2. Wow, that is quite a piece of art! I have a couple of tattoos I'd like to get but haven't pulled the trigger just yet. When I see posts like this, though, it makes me want to get them done. :)One of them actually came to me in a dream so I know at the very least I need to get that one!

Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere, btw. :) I really appreciated such a thoughtful comment!
