TAG! - The Disney Tag

1. A scene in any Disney movie you wish you could experience.
I'd love to experience alot from the Tinkerbell movie. Being a fairy would be pretty sweet to begin with but playing with all the animals at their heights, flying around with the birdys and preparing everything for each season, working with mother nature, yes please!

2. An unforgettable experience moment you've had at the Parks.

Not having a park in UK and not being rich means I've only been to a Disney park twice and it was Disneyland Paris, previously known as EuroDisney. Once for my 6th Birthday and then again in early 2010 which was my first ever trip abroad alone.
I can't personally remember anything from the first visit but the second had many awesome moments. Probably the most unforgettable would be when I met Stitch! He pretended to refuse to sign other peoples books and wouldn't leave me alone, getting down on one knee and taking lots of 'proposal' pictures with me - I truly appreciated that interaction as a 19 year old because it showed that Disney is for all ages, not just the kids. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum also tickled me and picked my nose, Raffiki checked my hair for bugs and all the characters I met at the breakfast were amazing!

3. What Non-Disney song(s) that reminds you or brings back memories of Disney and or the Parks?
For the life of me I cannot think of any that aren't Disney! :/ Hmm.

4. When was the first time you went to a Disney Park?
As I mentioned  before it was for my 6th Birthday therefore in October of 1996 and obviously with my parents. This was before the wonder that is Eurostar became the popular method of travel to France and so we had a long coach journey down the length of the UK to Dover, a ferry ride to Calais and then another coach journey to Paris!

5. If you could choose any of the characters to be your best friend who would you choose?
Ya know, I think probably Alice. I don't have friends and have never really had that one 'girl friend' that alot of girls have as a best friend. I think with my personality we'd get on well together and defiantly have fun in Wonderland.

6. Who are your favorite Disney Princesses?
Snow White is my current favorite because of many of her traits. The fact that she looks after the dwarfs and cooks and cleans reminds me of myself as well as her love for all the animals. Not to mention I'm totally jealous of the little cottage she lived in with the dwarfs. Oh and of course I have the blue birds from the movie tattooed on my chest :).
When I was younger Ariel was my favorite as I love the music from the movie and she has red hair like I did as a kid.

7. Name a scene/moment in any Disney movie that never fails to make your cry.
I cry in every movie. Disney, Non-Disney, Happy, Sad. Without fail. I cry because it upsets me or because it makes my heart hurt with love and longing that the world was a Disney movie.
The main two scenes that upset me and make me cry is when Mufasa dies in the Lion King and when Bambi's mother is killed - heartbreaking moments I'm sure you'll agree.

8. What is the first Disney Movie you remember seeing?
My memory from my childhood is very tiny so I don't know for sure the first one but I remember watching Oliver and Company on VHS as a kid, even back then I was a giant animal fan. My Mam said that, ' It's likely to of been a classic one like Bambi, Dumbo or Cinderella.'
I do still have a giant Disney VHS collection at my parents house too.

9. What is your favorite Disney Movie?
Are you kidding me?! How could any true Disney fan choose?! I adore everything from the very first Walt Disney Pictures production, 'Snow White' to the 90's live action film 'Cool Runnings', Pixar's first feature length film 'Toy Story', Pirates of the Carribean and everything in between!

10. This number of the tag doesn't exist so I'm creating it. Share a video or image that shows your love of Disney.
Obviously, I've included photos throughout this post but for this I have a special addition. Those of you who are fans of my facebook page (which you should be!) already had a sneek peek of this on the 23rd. It's old school footage from my 1996 trip to Disneyland Paris! Yey for 90's Disney. Bare in mind it isn't great quality, but it's a fun nostalgic watch for me at least. Hope you enjoy.

As with all TAGs you are all Tagged (unless I specify specific people).
If you do one, please comment on the corresponding post with a link so I can check it out. :)

  1. Ahhhh, I love Disney movies so much! And I am with you, every Disney movie has made me cry at some point. One of the things I am looking forward to the most about having kids is being able to introduce them to all of these fantastic movies that have meant/and still mean so much to me. I can't even choose a favorite, I don't think... The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Toy Story 2 (I didn't LOVE the third one, though), Mulan, I just can't choose. They are all my childhood.
This was such a cool read!

  2. This was a great read for me on a Tuesday morning, having to wake up and go back to work - totally put me in a better mood. I just love Disney! Oliver and Company really brought me back. I'm pretty sure I still have the VHS at my parents' house too. I've never been to Disneyland Paris, but if you ever have the means, Disney World in Florida here in the states is unbelievable! I have to put Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan at the top of my own list of favorites. Have a great day!

  7. Danielle, one day you must go to Disneyworld in Orlando if you ever can make it there. I am a Disney fan as are my family and have been there many times. It's still magical to us, and a way to forget about normal drab life. It's a fantasy that makes us all kids again. Sure, it is expensive, but worth it to me. Will be back again this Fall for a week!

    1. Ah I wish I lived close to a park. I'd be there all the time.
Hopefully our situation will improve in the next year or two and I can bend Jake's arm to going to Florida :)

I'd live in a Disney park if I could haha. I got offered a job as a photographer at the Paris park but couldn't take it. Boo! Maybe one day we'll move to the states or they'll build a park in England!

I'd love to see your photos from your trip there!!

  9. Ohh I just love Disney. I remember watching the adverts on tv where the video used to get posted through the letterbox for the kids and I always used to with it would happen to me! My first and only time at any Disney park was in 2008 when I was 18 - I went to Disneyland Paris and it was just incredible.
On my bucket list I want to visit every single park. xx
