Weekly Wondering // Week 1

I found this set of questions, '365 thought provoking questions to ask yourself this year', last year and bookmarked the webpage. After having rediscovered it I thought each week starting now I will answer 7 questions until I complete the year.

-1- When was the last time you tried something new?
Off to a bad start I know, but I'm not one for trying new things - especially food! But I actually tried porridge for the first time a couple weeks back. Unfortunately wasn't a fan of the one I tried in particular, it seemed really gloopy but I'll learn and try again sometime.

-2- Who do you sometimes compare yourself to?
The only person I can think of is my own Mam. We are very similar in so many ways. I get good and bad traits from her but we also used to fall out easily alot and my Dad always said it was because we are too alike.

-3- What’s the most sensible thing you've ever heard someone say?
Not to be a total stereotypical Disney geek, but the most amazingly sensible and clever things I've heard are words from the late, great, Walt Disney.

-4- What gets you excited about life?
Most of all probably learning new things and seeing new places - including the likes museums etc. History intrigues me, so when I visit a place like this the thought of knowing what kind of person has stood in that same spot as me so many years ago is exciting.

-5- What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
That you should always listen to and take on board the opinions and thoughts of loved ones.
Although, I have to say I have no regrets as everything happens for a reason and if I had indeed listened at the time I wouldn't be where I am now with who I am with now.

-6- What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?
Saving money. Easy! I was working hard and earning good money for my age. I just wish that instead of wasting it buying people who didn't appreciate it things, I had saved it. Then perhaps the last couple years would of been a little easier.

-7- Do you ask enough questions or do you settle for what you know?
Yes, I think I ask alot of questions. I like to find out more about people, deeper than what you see on the surface, which I guess is noticeable by the series' I like to run on this here blog!
