5 Albums To Last The Rest Of My Life

After much deliberation, I think I have come to a decision that this is the perfect mix of genres for my Top 5 albums. The way I thought of it was if I were in the 'Lost' bunker and only had so many albums on vinyl, what would I wish I had? So yeah, here is what I chose!

Kanye West - The College Dropout [2004]
This was the easiest album to pick. Probably not many people's favorite but I think it's one of those rare albums where every song is dope! It's also one of those CDs that, although having owned it for around 8 years, I grab every time I open my CD case and dunno what to listen to.
Favorite Tracks - We Don't Care, Never Let Me Down, School Spirit, Through The Wire.

Daft Punk - Discovery [2001]
I have a good friend to thank for my introductions to Daft Punk as well as other music and I can clearly remember days spent round at her house getting my hair dyed and in awe of her CD collection. Yes, you Gill! haha Yet another album that you can let play right through without skipping a track.
Favorite Tracks - One More Time, Aerodynamic, Face To Face

Jimmy Eat World - Clarity [1999]
Unfortunately the band that would eventually grow to be my favorite band of all time were not introduced to me until high school and when they were they opened a whole new door in the music scene for me. I love all of their albums, however Chase this Light and Invented are less to my taste (Their latest album Damage is still under judgement haha).
Clarity is a very thoughtful album. A CD that I used to play alot in the car if going for long drives alone - especially when in a little funk. When I met the band I wish I gotten this Album sleeve signed instead of Static Prevails but that happened to be my favorite album back then. Blah, blah, blah!
Favorite Tracks - Your New Aesthetic, Believe In What You Want (The quote tattooed on my chest!), Ten, Blister, Goodbye Sky Harbour.

Lil Wayne - The Carter IV [2011]
Special sentimental attachment to the early days of Jake and I seeing each other, this was a popular choice in the car. I was in a place in life where I was allowed to do what I wanted, listen to what I wanted again and I shot straight back to the rap and hip hop that I listened to years ago as a pre-teen. Back then it was The Black Eyed Peas and Eminem and now it's Rick Ross and French Montana, still though.
Favorite Tracks - Megaman, John, 6 Foot, 7 Foot.

Blink 182 - Blink 182 [2003]
An all time favorite that I haven't actually heard for years but was present on my Middle School leavers document! I'm sure most people around my age must be fans of this album - It's a memory from my school years that I won't forget.
Favorite Tracks - Stockholm Syndrome, Down, Go, Not Now.

What albums would be on your desert island wishlist? Any of these..? List them or share your blog post below!
