Weekly Wondering // Week 5.

I found this set of questions, '365 thought provoking questions to ask yourself this year', last year and bookmarked the webpage. After having rediscovered it I am answering 7 of the questions each week  until I complete the year.

29. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you've done?
Is that trying to ask, 'Am I all talk'? haha. Well technically I probably will have said more than I have done because I always like to say that 'I want to do this' and 'I want to do that' and I probably won't get the opportunity to do it all.

30. If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people, what would your message be?
That animals are equal to or of higher importance than us mere humans.  Of course there is a food chain, animals eat other animals and people eat animals - it's the way it was intended to be. However that doesn't mean that the treatment of them should be any less than how we would treat a pet. They should be comfortable and well looked after in whatever life they have before being consumed. They also should not be used as means of research by us, at all. Nor should they be taken advantage of for our gain and working animals should be rewarded with suitable 'home life' experience. I could go on forever but I hope you get the point!

31. If the average human lifespan was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
I don't know if anyone would live it any differently. I try to do as much as I can but work and money is and would still be the barrier to being able to 'live life to it's fullest'. Maybe sleep a little less if anything haha.

32. What do we all have in common besides our genes that makes us human?
After Google-ing this and asking Jake I've come to the conclusion that no one really knows how to answer this. I've had a big think and seeing as other creatures as well as us have the abilities to love and to feel, I can't choose my first thought as an answer. I think I'm going to say that morals or the lack of is what we all possess that make us human. Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel that there are good people and bad people but all animals seem to just have the one setting.

33. If you could choose one book as a mandatory read for all high school students, which book would you choose?
Urm, the full Harry Potter series of course! I'm pretty sure they had started bring that in at schools haven't they? The likes of Shakespeare should be left for those who opt to take English literature (like I did ;P).

34. Would you rather have less work or more work you actually enjoy doing?
Now, sorry if this is being to blunt but who wouldn't rather have no work at all?!  I wish that we had the money to be able to enjoy spending time with our family and running an animal sanctuary from home. Surely if you enjoyed the 'work' it wouldn't be classed as 'work' anyways...

35. What is important enough to go to war over?
I actually think that war is pretty important. Some large world events are only going to be settled by fighting sadly, but it's impossible that everyone will always agree on everything. It's a world long tradition and I fully support all the amazing people who have fought in the name of their counties over the years.
