Life Lately // February 2014

Doing
Using my new diary to help me fit more into my days. I'm a hardworking person but can get lazy when there's nothing driving me to do the things that need done.  So I write a to do list and feel accomplished when I can check everything off.
I've been getting the housework done sooner, spending more time with the animals and friends and putting free time to good use including trying to organize a sponsored dog walk in aid of the Guide Dogs Association.

Thinking
How far away October is!!!!!!! I don't know how I'm going to cope waiting all the way until the day after my 24th birthday to go to Disneyland. Plus, as much as I'm gonna miss my 3 men at home it's gonna be very cool to have 5 days to just spend with my Mam.
There is so much to plan! (and so many corresponding blog posts to write!)

Loving
NETFLIX! We've used it before, but never really made the most of it. As I'm typing this I've watched 6 films and 5 episodes of a TV series in 2 and a half days....
[edit - we've now watched 3 series of Breaking Bad and 20 movies]

Hating
'Nek Nominations' . Full stop.  (Although they have finally dried up)

Even if you don't me I'm sure most of you will know my views on alcohol on a whole anyways but this idiotic 'game' that is taking over my Facebook news feed is downright depressing.  It's not just the fact that I don't drink but to think that people judge a person depending on how well you can swallow some disgusting substance in one go is a complete picture of what is wrong with the people of this country.
The drinking and partying lifestyle and scene takes up a larger percentage of peoples lives than ever should be necessary with people 'living for the weekend'...now binge drinking has been taken to the next level.
People have died for goodness sake. Why not judge someone on how much they do for others? Or how much they can make you laugh? Anything but this rubbish.

Other stuff
- I now live with a 26 year old! How mad is it that my other half is sooo oldd haha. Mind you, next year I'll be turning a quarter of a century...oh goodness.
- I can't wait for the24th of this month! Jake and I have both taken the week off from work and have lots of stuff planned to spend some quality time together. They'll make for a few pretty cool blog posts too I should think :D
- Still on the hunt for a 'Blog BFF', as cheesy as it sounds, I've found lots of really cool little blogs along the way this month. I'm trying to make a proper effort to comment more and interact which I find hard but hopefully it's going down okay and I don't seem like a weirdo...
- On the subject of bloggers, I have gained a few new followers lately and would just like to thank you for being here :D
- Just a reminder to those who own dogs - PICK.UP.YOUR.POO. Thanks :)

  1. OMG! Isn't Netflix the best?! It's perfect for binge watching TV, especially Breaking Bad. You should check out Dexter next. :)

BTW I have really enjoyed reading your blog, so I nominated you for a Liebster Award! You can find out more information about it on my blog. It's a fun way to get to know other bloggers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

    1. It's awesome for old Disney movies! haha I'm not a fan of Breaking Bad but my other half is determind to watch it so I'm doing so too.

Oh thank you! I actually just did my 5th(?) liebster award a couple of weeks ago but will make sure to thank you in an upcoming post. :)

      Best wishes <3

  2. I love netflix too! I've started watching Samantha Who - it's very funny. I've watched so many films on there as well as TV shows. Check out Hemlock Grove and 4400's, also Orange is the New Black if you haven't already!

I hope you're joking when you say 26 is old! I'm turning 28 this year. Boo.

I also need to plan for Disneyland, and sort my visa out! 2 and a half months to go!

    1. Oh thanks, I'll have a look at them.
I'm awful at finding new shows as I was such a huge Lost fan that nothing seems to equal it's standard. I did enjoy Prison Break though!

Haha Poor you closer to 30 than 20 ;) Just joking of course but inside I still feel like we're 16!

Ooo a visa? How long are you going for?!

      Thanks for commenting :D

  3. I literally burst out in laughter at the last sentence!
That skids like a PSA and I welcome it wholeheartedly. I have neighbors that walk their dogs in front of my house and never pick up! "/
I hope you have a super fun trip to Disneyland! I've been to DisneyWorld but never the Land :)
How are you liking Breaking Bad? That was actually a stupid question. I read your tweets about it.
I was also hooked! I'm all done with it and I kind of want to watch again.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Lol!
It's so true though! Like TMI, but I actually stepped in poop while picking up my dogs poop! Disgusting.

Oh I know I will! I can't wait to share all my photography this time around as last time I did live blogs every night from my hotel. Sadly that blog is gone! :( It's only Disneyland Paris because I'm still too afraid of long haul flights but I will make it to America and Tokyo one day.

I hate it to be honest. Only watching it as I made my other half watch Lost and he wants to watch this. Well I say I hate it but I keep wanting to know what happens so I dunno haha
Lost, Flashforward and Prison Break have been the only series' I've been in love with.

Hope you have an awesome weekend too <3

  4. We have nek nominations here in The Netherlands too and now it's taking over Finland. Absolutely most dumb trend of 2014 already.

  5. It's a shame you can't get Hulu in the UK - which is like netflix, but more for tv shows with some movies and random things like fitness shows too. So we kind of live between netflix and hulu to be honest with our tv watching! Neck nominations are stupid aren't they, they are all over my home town, which sums up how stupid the place is I come from (no love lost there!).

    1. Oooh that sounds cool. I had a little Google and it looks like we can get it. Not that I could afford another one anyway haha.
Wow - they must be all over the world then?! That's mad. Alcohol is a language everyone responds to I guess... :/

  6. AH! I'm pretty new to the blogging world but when I found your blog I was so intrigued. You always have such interesting ideas for blog posts and it's really inspiring! Netflix is so addicting it's crazy! What's Breaking Bad like? I keep hearing LOADS about it but I never really got around to watching it. ;p Anyways, love your blog and can't wait to see more! (:

To be honest...I actually hate it haha I'm only watching as the other half seems to be enjoying it and it makes a change from watching him play Fifa!

  7. It drives me crazy when people don't pick up after their dogs, it's so irresponsible! If you can't deal with dog poo then you shouldn't have a dog.

Where did you get that Alice In Wonderland diary from? I love it!x

    1. Uh it's unreal around here!! I actually stood in poo while picking up Bakers!! :(
Don't even talk to me about the amount of rubbish and glass at the park too. I can't understand my dirty, inconsiderate fellow humans.

And thanks! Ordered it online..came from Hong Kong! I was going to do a post all about it but I think March makes it irrelevant ha
