My Rabbit is a Winner!

I have to start this off with saying - thank goodness I have my laptop back! My charger broke over a week ago and my new one just arrived this afternoon (2nd March as I write this). I have 3 awesome posts to write up for you today from my week off and I hope you enjoy them.

This post is the first of those three and it's a rather exciting one if I do say so myself.

A few new toys to switch up things in Bunny's room.

So, just before Valentines day I entered Bunny and Baker into a Valentines competition on Facebook from a new (to me) company that I have been loving lately. The competition was to simply say why it is that I love my little guys and so I told the short version of the story that follows -

''Bunny and I have a great little friendship. He is more like a dog than a rabbit and because of all we've been through together he trusts me completely. Now 3 years old, his little life started off rocky and confusing from being a house rabbit, ousted to live in a hutch outside because 'he smelt' (he didn't, he was cleaned more than regularly enough..it was just the normal hay fragrance) to not being handled much purely because I wasn't allowed to. A couple months later I left the abusive, horrible person that had made me so sad for the past few years but poor Bunny was stuck at his house. One day I decided I couldn't let him become another domestic rabbit that suffers the awful fate of being stuck in a wooden box day after day and so my Dad and I took a drive to rescue him. We got into the garden, carried rabbit and hutch out and into the car and drove away. Since then Bunny has had his own bedroom, lots of toys and all the hay he can eat! He gets the roam of our house twice a day for a couple hours each time (when Baker is in bed) and his little hops, skips and jumps prove his happiness!''

After entering I thought nothing of it. Then a status was posted on the Barks and Bunnies page saying that the winner had still not seen the announcement video and so I watched to be extremely pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Actually, not only the outcome but the way in which the winner was chosen too, which made it so much sweeter! (Watch the announcement video here, it's well worth it!)

His prize arrived this week and so I wanted to give a huge thank you shout out from us and share some photos of him enjoying it...

As you can see he was well and truly spoiled with some fabulous gifts! Just in time for his 3rd birthday! I was over the moon when we opened the box and he hopped right in, he was so interested and took to the Pyramid toy right away which shocked me as I wasn't sure if he'd get the hang of it.
Not only is the range of treats and toys on the Barks and Bunnies website fabulous, their packaging is one of a kind. All orders come packed in straw so that nothing goes to waste and even the box that everything comes in can be enjoyed by your little guys - Bunny definitely did!

The company itself first stood out to me because of it's origin and the fact that they are a small family run business. I urge all rabbit or dog owners to check out both their blog and their website and don't forget to read all about them here.  I personally cannot wait to place an order of goodies for Baker...we have our eye on a couple of things including the scrummy homemade, healthy treats!

Thanks again to all at Barks and Bunnies, you guys are awesome! <3

P.s Enjoy this little video of Bunny getting to grips with the Pyramid toy for the first time...
