Q&A feat. YOU!

Today's posts is a handful of interesting questions from some of you guys that follow me on twitter! I'm glad I decided to do this as asking you made for some awesome questions! Enjoy.

How long have you been cruelty-free, and what inspired you to start it?
from Charlotte
It's been around 4 years or so since I became aware and started to be more conscious of using tested things. However it's been around 2 years that I have been clean. I really actually can't remember what exactly led me towards the light but it was more than likely one of the disgusting photos or videos you see all over the internet. Now I hope to inspire people to do the same by spamming my personal Facebook page haha

Would you ever consider getting any serious body modification like scarification or getting your ears stretched?
from Claire
No. Simple! haha I don't even do piercings at all anymore, although when I was a teen I had my lip and nose done (wow, so original!), so stretching is completely out of the question. For newer followers I'll include some early photos of my man when he used to have tunnels, HERE. He has since taken them out thankfully :P As for scarification I just don't like the aesthetic of it - it looks sore! I'll stick to tattoos and lots of them, well if and when money allows.

If you could have any pet in the world, what would it be?
from Leona

I couldn't of received a more difficult question. I want all the animals! Except bugs but I'd have even mythical and magical ones too. However it was made clear via Twitter that I can only answer with 'real animals' haha.Well I have a dog, a rabbit (although house depending, I'd have more of both) and I'm allergic to cats and have no room for a horse. Jake and I have talked about getting a Leopard Gecko before, after we met a little one named Jake at a pet corner of a farm. We'll get one in the future I'm sure but just now no more pets. We'll wait until we're working more hours and can afford all the crickets and calcium powder!

What are the top three cruelty free products that you couldn't live without and what products do you wish were cruelty free?
from Melissa

My most recent find and love is carbolic soap. Guuuh. I bought a huge bar at Beamish as the lady had told me it was used for everything back then. Everything! I looked it up online and apparently it's most prominent feature is that is great for acne - thankfully it's been working wonders for me ever since! Barry M Mascara. A very overlooked company but actually great quality, value and ethics. Winning! Thinking of a last item is difficult. Do I pick a household item or cosmetic... I really want to say something from Soap and Glory as I use alot of products from them and of course love them like the rest of the universe. Okay, I'll say the Kick Ass Concealer!
I wish all products were cruelty free for the sake of animals, however on a personal level I particularly like Benefit. My skin really agreed with their skincare line and I found their brow box thingy'm'bob one of the best eyebrow kits.

If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
from Lynsey

My answer to this will probably change overtime (I'm not sure if I've answered a similar question before) but right now I'd say to fly. I love birds. I love to be alone. I love to travel. I could fly away anytime that suited me, without traffic or other passengers. Yes - I really, really would like to be able to fly!I guess my skydive is the closest I'll come. Boo.

If you found out you only had a few months left to live, would your priorities shift and if so how?
from Kendwy
I don't think anyone can answer this fully unless they have experienced it. I think right now my priorities are to care for and provide for my pets and matter what they will always be my priorities. However, I suppose one thing that would change is that I would try and spend ever more quality time with the afor mentioned, not worrying about work and things that don't really matter, well and truly making the most of the time I had left.

I want to sincerely thank the 6 fabulous ladies who very kindly sent questions for me to answer and if you don't recognize any of their names, just click on them and you'll be taken to each's magical little world.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you for being here and let you know that I am always here to answer questions or have a chat if you ever need me :) Just message me on Facebook, Tweet me or Email me at

  1. Great answers! :D I think teleportation would be a pretty sweet power that would allow me to travel anywhere. Plus, it would definitely save me money on a hotel because I could just come back home. LOL

    1. Oh yes! I never thought of that power. Dang! haha Totally awesome need to do a post like this :P x

  2. I really like this post idea!

Flying would be very awesome! I love to travel too! It would be like you were your own personal plane!

    1. Thank you! I didn't actually think I would get asked any questions but I ended up with some awesome ones!

Yes! I'm a little afraid of planes. x

  3. I always wanted to do a post like this, but I'm scared no one will ask me a question :)
Great answers. Not worrying and enjoying is what i would do too..

    1. Oh I will!! I didn't think I would get any questions either to be honest but I ended up with a great variety :)
Thank you :D Definitely the best way! x

  4. Yay! Love learning more about bloggers! Thanks for answering my question.
I'm allergic to cats also and kinda want to have a dog but I'm afraid it'll be neglected because we go out of the house so much. Your rabbits are adorable!!!!
I wish I could fly also, except I'm terribly afraid of heights!
I keep reading about cruelty free. I didn't even know products were tested on animals. Shows how clueless I can be about makeup.

    1. Thank you for asking me a question!! haha
Ah yeah we are so lucky that I work evenings and Jake works mornings so Baker is never alone :) I couldn't leave a dog at home alone all day so you're being very sensible.

I LOVE heights! My parents are scared and I never understood the fear because I love it so much haha. And yes, unfortunately animals from rabbits to puppies, pigs, monkeys and more are used in all types of testing. Medical, cosmetic, army training. It's very disturbing and completely unnecessary.
