Just a quick post today with my opinions on a couple of the Lush Easter items!
I went for the Golden Egg bath bomb, mainly because it's a freakin' golden glittery egg (and reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate factory) and the Bunch of Carrots bubble bars as I love the Lush bubble bars and these were too cute (at a great price) not to get!
Looking at the website I wish I had ordered online because they have the cutest Bunny bubble bar that, from the description and reviews, sounds perfect for me - but I got my things in my local store on the spur of the moment and I didn't see that there...Oh well, next Easter!
As with all bubble bars I like to get alot of use out of them and so only used about a third of one carrot for this use. Whilst running it under the water it was evident that the Bunch of Carrots bubble bars were considerably more solid and harder to break apart than the majority of bars I have tried, however for the amount I used I was happy with the final result and amount of bubbles.
As you can see from the photo above, the colour they turned the bath wasn't the most majestic or appealing but that didn't put me off at all. I also wasn't a fan of the scent of the product dry but it wasn't strong at all once in the bath itself.Over all I think the novelty of this being a bunch of carrots as apposed to just a carrot themed bar was what made me buy it, though it is quite a nice size product for the price.
Now if you bought anything from the Easter range and managed to resist this Golden Egg then I commend you. I sometimes think I must be part Magpie with how drawn to shiny, glittery things I am.
In the shop after picking one up and popping it in my basket I ended up rubbing my hands on my hair to transfer all the extra glitter that had gotten on me, my Mam even had it all over her face which prompted the waitress at Stateside to ask her if she was 'going anywhere nice' haha!
When dropped into the bath the glitter dispersed ever quicker, however, and the bomb immediately turned to a bright yellow ball emitting the same colour out into the water.
The smell was very present and unlike many bath bombs this melted away for over 5-10 minutes leaving the bath and obviously my skin nice and soft from the cocoa butter! Don't be intimidated by the amount of glitter either as although there was a lining of it left all over my bath it was easy to rinse out and it didnt stay on my skin either!
I would most certainly have another 10 of these!
Did you try any Lush Easter goodies? What is your favorite?
(P.s Yes, that is Snow Fairy that I have left from Xmas. I also have another big bottle stashed away unopened! :P Jealous?)
