The Anti-Social Version of a Blogger Meet Up

Here it is! The much anticipated (by you, according to twitter) post of the adventures of Claire and I is finally here.

I assume the majority of you know how much of an anti social homebody I am and so taking the steps I had to out of my comfort zone and meet up with a blogger was a struggle. I succeed though!
I arranged to meet up with the bright haired beauty that is Claire of Dainty Ghosts, as she lives not too far from me and from our chats seemed to have a heck of a lot in common with me.
Well I didn't back out. I got there, feeling ill as hell, and panned the area for pink hair haha. I knew to expect one of the sweetest people ever but I didn't expect just how sweet and so pretty in person too might I add.
Right away we hit it off and I'm so thankful to say that there were no uncomfortable or awkward moments, we even were equally easily distracted when browsing in Paperchase and had a giggle over my trouble tripping over words.

After a good old natter (you know, the type you have with a friend you haven't seen for ages, like that) while grabbing a bite to eat and a milkshake at Stateside we headed toward good old Leazes Park for an afternoon wander.
This is where I am going to bore you with yet more of my 'photography' haha. I hope you don't mind but I know we really enjoyed a gorgeous sunny walk taking photos of all the lakeside birds.

There was lots to look at and talk about, especially with the weirdest bunch of people turning up to the lake too that day. A man argued with me about whether a swan can break your arm or not, a 'chavvy' delinquent gang of lads who fished their football from the lake asked if I wanted to take their picture (no thanks!) and an Asian couple walking by kept saying the word 'gull' over and over in a quizzical way! It made for a few laughs for us anyways.
Not to forget the Goose that chased after another, seemingly arguing with it only to be completely blanked and the duck who ran, then swam after his mate once she had been scared back into the water by a child (satan spawn), that was rather sweet. The duck not the kid obviously.

Overall a perfectly fabulous day was had and I look forward to doing it again, although I am sorry to those who have mentioned or invited me to meet ups - I really don't think my nerves could handle a group larger than 3!

I'll end the post with a couple of snaps I took of the blogger herself, Claire. Thank you again for a wonderful day out and for being so easy to get along with. Lots of love to you all, I appreciate the handful of you who have been there recently. <3
