The 'What I Got For Easter' Haul!

Easter, predominantly a holiday for Christians as it marks the resurrection of Christ, is really the most important religious holiday of the year. Unfortunately it is also another holiday that has been over commercialized. Now I really can't say anything about that because if you are long time reader you will know I am not a believer in God, however, like Christmas I use it as an excuse to spend quality time with and give gifts to those I care about (mainly/usually Baker haha).

This year like the past few our only spare money is spent on Baker so his gifts from us and his Granny and Granda will be shown in a separate post. BUT even though I am 23 my Mam still spoiled me with these fabulous gifts. My 'pacey new' or 'piece of new' was a new bright pink Superdry hoodie to wear at Disneyland, Frozen on Dvd (which we watched after our day out at Cullercoats) and plenty chocolate treats! She also made the crispies in the first photo - just look at those chicks!

To read more on why eggs, bunnies and the like are associated with Easter, here is a little post I put together about the origins of Easter, last year.

What did you give and get this Easter?

I don't really associate Easter with presents. Although it has been commercialised in my culture as well, most people just end up paying so their children can take part in fancy Easter egg hunts at posh hotels. And then everyone goes home with a lot candy . . . but not really presents.

That's my long-winded way of explaining why I got nothing. =P LOL!

    Happy Easter, Danielle! =D

    1. I've seen from Youtube that alot of people in the states do egg hunts and give children Easter baskets, here it's mainly giving of chocolate eggs and/or a new piece of clothing.
      I suppose it's a little sad really...ha

Happy Easter to you too. :)

  3. Aw it's nice to share gifts & spend time with ones we love. I've not had anything for easter since I was young but we gave eggs to all the kids on our street & finger puppets to the babies - so I was delighted when I got a hand made Easter card back from the wee boy next door! Chicks are just so damn cute!
