My Dog Deserves A Holiday Because...

Thank you again to Lisa for drawing our attention to another fabulous opportunity. A competition to win £250 worth of vouchers towards a holiday with Canvas Holidays! And gosh could we do with one haha.
So here we go, this is my entry.

My dog deserves a holiday because...

...he has been the main thing keeping us sane, happy and feeling safe whilst having a bad experience the past 6 months in the house we moved into.
I'll explain more once we leave (next month, yey!) but on Christmas eve past Jake was attacked with a baseball bat by one of our neighbours. It's been a pretty intense, scary, intimidating place to live since and because our little man is so in tune with our feelings he lets me know when the baddies are near by.
Baker is literally one of the most soft dogs you'll ever meet and wouldn't harm a fly but the baddies don't know that! Meaning I'm kept feeling safe :) My SuperDog <3

...he is hosting his very own charity event this coming June! Baker's Go Walkies is to raise money for The Guide Dogs Association and he's done a real good job organizing and advertising it! It's fun to help other people :)

... Baker, although a big scardy cat himself, risk assesses situations and will tell me off if he thinks it's too dangerous for me to do! Any playground equipment has been out of bounds after I got stuck on a climbing frame last summer.

...when we were sadly unemployed and first got him, he was our reason for being. It's hard for anyone not to be working but even more so when you've worked from age 15/16 like us. It got rather depressing and extremely boring. Baker was our reason to get out of bed in the morning. He kept us busy and motivated and licked away any tears when we were down.

... it's tiring work being so adorable and funny! He needs time to relax from all the relaxing.

... I feel guilty that he is only 1 and 9 months and has already lived in 3 different houses. Moving is a pain in the bum for everyone but I can't imagine how confusing and strange it must be for a dog. He has done amazingly well, even helped packing his own toys into a box and always adapted to whatever environment we have moved to. He is so intelligent and  well behaved, especially for his age. I can't wait for us to move this coming June and to finally find our little place in the country with fields and fields for him to run about in.

...but mainly because he's never been on a family holiday before.

Thank you for reading and I hope though this post you guys will be able to tell a little more why he means so much to us. Being among the minority of my school peers who don't have children, he truly is our baby and spending quality time together, no matter where, is always the best time.

  5. What a lovely pooch. I wish I lived closer to bring Pepe along to the sponsored walkies. I'm going to have to look into organising one. The more money for the Guide Dogs the better :)
I'm sure you are aware that I'm running a pet series. I'd love Baker to be a part of it. He sounds like a little hero. If you want to find out more please let me know (That applies to all you bloggers)
