Take a Peek into My Memory Box...

What I would grab if the house was on fire (discounting pets and people)? This.
My memory box! For quite a while it was a crammed shoebox, but lately I picked up this super cute box in TX Maxx and organized all my many, many prized possessions into it - now I'm going to share some of it with you through pictures.

I don't feel the need to really caption any of these as you can see they are pretty self explanatory. However, I would like to point out one very important thing to me, so you can tell what it is... In the first photo there is a small organza bag filled with multi coloured glitter in the top right of the image, it was an accessory to a  fairy costume at my 17th birthday party and belonged to my best friend Sarah. Sarah had been battling cancer for a while but was always up for any kind of party or night out. Sadly she lost her battle. We found this in the house not long afterwards although the party and her passing were not close in time, so I have kept it ever since as a reminder and sign from her.

Goodness knows how many boxes I'll of filled by the time I'm 60 because this is pretty packed! I hope you enjoyed a quick look into the things I treasure and the memories I have :)
Do you have a memory box? What is your most prized possession?

  1. I love this, the box is so nice, I have all my stuff in just plain boxes and they don't look anywhere as special.
I love how you keep all your cards, tickets, maps/guides from places as I do that too and my husband always takes the mick about it as I keep such silly (well to him) things to put in my boxes.
I love that you found the organza bag when it means so much, now that's a true treasured item to have in there, sorry to hear your friend lost her battle <3

Ah my other half does too but he has a memory box too so he isn't as bad. He has tickets from football matches him and my Dad have been to and stuff.

    1. Thank you! I really thought it was the most perfect box to house momentos of good times!
She was a very special person, I don't think I'll ever meet someone as lovely, genuine and positive as her - I'm glad to have that reminder of the amazing friend she was.

  3. I have a box at my home in the UK with some bits from my teenage years, but I think I actually threw a lot out through it being sneaked in by family and some of the bits being very private to me. I regret it a little, but I'm more annoyed that I couldn't have a little box without it being looked it. Ahh, family.

I loved seeing inside your box though!

    1. Ah no way! The lady scammed me then haha This one had a smaller one inside and I gathered it was a set but she told me I had to buy them separately. I thought it shouldn't of been inside the other then! :/

  6. Ahh, I do this as well! (people used to think I was weird for keeping a memory box!) It's such a lovely way of keeping little bits and pieces, I've got one very large box (a kneehigh boots shoe box) and one smaller box - every few years I try and go through and get rid of anything that doesn't matter so much any more but there's still a load of things! :-) x
