A Magical World Leaving Doo

The Great North Museum, Hancock has had a new exhibit on for the past few months and I've been dying to go since I first saw the poster in the Metro line for it. Long time followers will know my passion for anything museum like and very few, super old followers may of even seen this post (check it out, there are lots of awesome photos of Jake and I having fun!) of a date day many moons ago spent at the Hancock.
Now time was ticking on and the exhibit actually ends the day after I move so I thought I'd rope my friends into a quick visit, while out for a cinema day, as a last outing all together before I leave.

We had a movie booked for 14.10 and I've already seen everything there, so we just had a quick mosie about down stairs in the animal hall and Hadrian's wall exhibit, racing towards the stairs to get to the Magical Worlds hall. As soon as we got there we dived into the dressing up gear and set the camera on self timer to capture some #MagicWorldSelfie 's as well as stopping for a quick tea party in wonderland!! There were loads of cool things like the 'one ring' from Lord of the Ring (I actually have a replica I got in Tossa De Mar when I was 13 too!) and I was surprised to see a little homage to wor Harry P which excited Kayleigh and I.

I really enjoyed our flying visit to Hancock and got some photos to treasure, though I must admit I was slightly disappointed to of not seen Sooty - who we searched the exhibit twice for. We headed through the upstairs halls, stopped by an Egyptian Tomb for a trip to the after life and then made a b-line for the gift shop, where Nicole and I made pressed pennys and we all bought matching Egyptian Eye of Horus necklaces, of which I am actually wearing right now.
It was a race through town to get to the Gate in time for our movie but we made it and it was so funny! We went to see 22 Jump Street by the way. Sadly Gemma, Kayleigh and Nicole left us after the movie but seeing as we hadn't eaten all day Laura and I stopped by Wetherspoons The Five Swans for some yummy grub!

Thank you girls for a lovely last day out, even though it won't be the last and we'll keep in touch of course. Just wait for my housewarming in the country!
