Collective Haul // July-August '14

So it seems that the last month or so I have bought more 'stuff' than I have in the past 3 years! It's strange being able to buy a few bits just randomly because we have never usually had even enough spare cash for a bar of chocolate.
Moving into the new house is an excuse for 50% of the below purchases and a handful of things were actually bought for me too. Yeah. Anyways, take a peek at what I've been buying!

Some more Disney classics to add to the collection! Wreck it Ralph, which I ashamedly am still to watch was bought for me by Jake and Tarzan and Hercules were bought by my Dad :) Thank you both <3
The mug was a super lucky find. Guess how much it was and where it was from. Go on, guess! I spotted it while passing the home-ware isle on the way to cleaning products in Home Bargains and it was only .99p! What the what?! If you've seen previous wishlists (like this one) or even just taken notice of my blogs name, you will be able to tell I love Alice in Wonderland and especially the original illustrations. I don't even drink hot drinks but I needed it. :)

We got rid of alot of our old bedding and needed another set to change our bed into just now as well as for the new place so whilst on our day down in the toon for the Race for Life we popped into good old Primark and mam treated me to this one that couldn't be more me if it tried!
Other Primark purchases made by myself included a Bambi sleeveless tee from the sale, a while ruffle front vest and a cute little yellow camisole with daisies! I also picked up two new pairs of jeans in the styles I already owned but in the opposite colours, some Bambi shorts (that I didn't realized had butterflies on the until I got home but will cope with), a pair of pink frilly socks, Minnie Mouse flip flops, tan moccasins and a replacement pair of the sun glasses that I already have but mine broke. Phew, that was even a mouthful just to write haha.

Since having moved I'm less stressed, meaning my skin has improved! Or is better most days at least. I'm still not confident enough to go out further than the field for Bakers walk with no make up on at all and so that I don't have to wear a face of foundation to the beach I decided to try a CC cream. There weren't many that were cruelty free that had good reviews but one of my favorite brands came through for me. I picked up the concealer too as mine had ran out.

Last of all is my favorite part of the haul - all of my cruelty free cleaning supplies! Yey! I cannot actually express to you my excitement at finding my favorite buav approved brand (Astonish) in high street shops! I've had to buy mine from ebay in the past but now that they are readily accessible and really reasonably priced I had to get the whole collection, stocking up for when we move. Easy is also a brand I've used alot over the past couple of years and it provides products that Astonish don't do. I also picked up dusters.
Oh, by the way, I am gonna have a dishwasher for the first time ever so I'd love any fellow CF bloggers advice on tabs and rinse etc for that! Let me know!

And, finally, that's it! Pfft, how ridiculous is the amount of money I've wasted recently?! It feel so weird being able to go out and buy things. I hope you enjoy this kind of post, I know it's not as good as hauling in video form but maybe one day I'll get the guts up to do so. :)

[Since writing this my Mam has also treated me to Mary Poppins on dvd and Jake bought me this (click here) project for the new house...]

  2. I wasn't sure if Soap and Glory were cruelty free, they are one of my favourite brands and I've been making the switch to CF brands the last few months. We are just about to start switching over the household products :)

  3. Just went back to check the Soap and Glory website, and they are all CF. I think I was reading a few websites about the brands I use and must have confused myself with two different ones haha. Easily done. I'm a happy person now!

  5. Isn't Home Bargains an absolute godsend for cute little finds! So much of the stuff in there you'd never guess was that price!
How do you like the Primark ripped jeans? I'm yet to own a pair and don't fancy investing in any expensive ones so let me know how you get on with these!
Soap and Glory makeup always looks so lovely in the packaging and I can't wait to try some!

They're worth it for £13 certainly! It's worth popping in to try a pair on, I've two now.
