Guest Post // Disney Lover

Hello there my lovelies!

It's Amy here from Life as Amazzable! When Danielle needed guest bloggers whilst she jets off to the wonderful world of Disney (not jealous at all) I couldn't pass up the opportunity. As a fellow Disney addict, we thought it’d be best to keep the theme going so here are my:

1. Tangled
I didn't plan to do this in any particular order but Tangled has definitely got to be my all-time favorite Disney movie. It’s not a classic by any means but who cares! What person in their right mind can resist a cliché love story and a horse brandishing a frying pan? Oh, and not to forget, the adorable and cheeky companion that is Pascal. I need me one of these animals.

2. Frozen
Do you want to build a snowman? I don’t know if I want to anymore, I'll only be disappointed when it doesn't turn into a real life Olaf. I have watched this film countless times, and never get bored. What makes this film different is the fact that the damsel in distress isn't saved by her knight in shining armor, but instead her sister. I went to see this in the cinema when it first came out and felt no regrets when I was surrounded by individuals much younger than myself.

3. The Little Mermaid
This is my favorite film from when I was younger. I have a weird wish even now to be a mermaid, even if only for a day to just try it out! This movie has it all, the singing, the lovable characters and the happy ever after. I even have a love for Sebastian, despite the fact he was a slightly hormonal (yes I know he’s male but who cares) crab and wanted to spoil the fun.

4. Finding Nemo
It’s not every day you get to see talking marine creatures and this film has multiple things to love about it. The relationship between father and son, a fish with dementia, ‘friendly sharks’, a completely mental dentist patient who nearly kills poor Nemo (you’re on my hit list lady), slightly unintelligent seagulls and a whole load of chilled out turtles, what’s to hate?! Yet another film I have watched multiple times. My mum once took this into school with her and lost the DVD and I still haven’t forgiven her completely for it...she took away my opportunity to watch this film for a long time.

5. Monsters Inc.
Now come on, who doesn't like this film? The relationship between Mike and Sulley is one that many of us would probably like to have with our friends. Also, how can anyone resist the complete cuteness that is Boo? I think that secretly, I watch it so much because of her. She’s beyond adorable and completely counteracts the behavior of Randall. I was shouting at my tele the first time I watched this when he took Boo away from them. I get way too into these movies!

6. Enchanted
Enchanted is one of those movies that is often forgotten, but I for one thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a feel good story and pretty unique in comparison to the rest of the Disney movies. I can’t pinpoint the reason I love this so much, but I find myself constantly smiling throughout (though the first time I nearly cried when Giselle ‘died’). I think the idea of living a fairy tale in real life could be one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much, though I'm not sure it's normal to see people shooting out of drains in the middle of New York.

So there we have it, some of my favorite Disney films. It was extremely hard to pick just 6, and I now know that I have many more DVD’s that I need to purchase. I absolutely love the world of Disney, and don’t think I will ever grow tired of the endless clichéd endings, animal companions and random outbursts of song. In 60 years’ time I may be slightly bonkers but, I will sing to my heart’s content if that’s what is going to make me happy.

Thank-you to you the readers for looking through this post, and to the marvelous Danielle for allowing me to take over a spot on her blog, I really have enjoyed writing this! I often end my posts with a quote so for this week, it shall be ‘Remember, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine - Snow White.’

[Edit - I want to send a huge thank you to Amy for putting together this brilliant post for me so I don't have to worry about the blog while I'm here in Disneyland Paris. :P  I hope you have enjoyed it and make sure you go and check out (and follow) her blog!!!! Thanks, speak to you all soon <3 ]

  1. Still need to watch Tangled! I love Frozen!!! I literally watched it the other day! This is such a lovely idea, great guest post! Abi :)

    1. Thank you ever so much :) You mean you haven't watched Tangled?! It's a must! x

    2. Yes, you need to see Tangled right away! I think its actually on Netflix too by the way ;)

  2. Love this list - Tangled was just so lovely, and I felt so connected to the characters after a long Disney lull, and of course Frozen is just amazing. Finding Nemo is one of my favourite films of all time and I love seeing it on lists like these - it's such a heartfelt story. - Tasha xxx

    1. The character development in Finding Nemo is amazing, such a lovely movie, often slightly over looked I think!

  3. The only one I don't like is Enchanted, all the rest are also much loved by me! ^__^ Especially The Little Mermaid - always my fave hehe :D

    Jemma xx

    1. Haha, Enchanted certainly isn't for everyone but, it's a guilty favourite of mine xx

    2. Yeah as a Disney fan its hard to admit that there are any I dislike but Im not a huge fan of Enchanted. Frozen has been rather blown out of proportion too I think.

  4. I love all of these movies! Tangled is also my favorite :)
