Guest Post // DIY Spooky Blood Candles

Hey everyone! I'm Jess from Writing in Red Lipstick!
Earlier this week, I was looking for ideas to decorate my house for my upcoming Halloween party, and I had the idea to make "bloody" candles. Super quick, cheap, and easy, these candles will add instant spook to any mantle, tablescape, or entryway.

To make these candles, you only need 3 items! A red candle, a white candle, and a lighter!

To start, light your red candle and allow it to heat up.
Once the wax starts to drip, let it build up in that spot until it continues down the side of the candle.

When you're happy with the way that spot looks, move to another part of the candle.
Keep going until you achieve the desired spooky look!

[Ta-da! How effective does this looks once it's all done?! I definitely need to do some of these to go along with all of my other Halloween decor (that I will show you in the next couple weeks! :P). Big thank you to Jess for this fun little DIY. Pop over to her blog to let her know what you thought!]
