Disneyland Paris 2014 // What's In My Bag? [Disney Edition!]

I don't know if I ever got round to posting a normal 'What's in my Bag?' post, but after doing the 'What's in my Suitcase?' post during my countdown to Disney I knew I wanted to show you all the junk I lugged around with me while at the parks.
I'm super into being organized and so like to have things that I may not even need - you know, just in case.

First up, just as a FYI, my bag is a black canvas buckle backpack from ASOS and I love it! (Sorry I haven't a clear photo of it actually on, but if you wanna see it up close just click on the link and it will show you.)
I wanted this style of bag in particular especially for the security and handiness of it and scoured everywhere for the months building up to the trip until I found this one.
The straps are slightly padded making it pretty comfy when having to have it on your back for like 12 hours a day, the buckles fasten properly (not like the look-a-likes that are just poppers) keeping all your valuables under lock - especially important for hopping on and off of rides - and it was very reasonably priced, bonus!

So duh, the main thing I needed was my camera! I couldn't photograph it for obvious reasons and although it was around my neck the majority of the time, I did have my little camera bag and zoom lens with me in the backpack too. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't really have much of an opportunity to use it and so had a useless added weight...oh well!
The next most important item, or perhaps most seeing as it housed things we needed to get there, is my Dakine travel organizer. I'm not keen on the colour of its inside but it's just plain black on the outside which is perfect. This kept everything like all our tickets, boarding passes, passports and travel insurance documents while we flew and then I switched all that out and locked it away in the room just in case ;)
During the days in the park it had our park tickets, meal vouchers, cash, debit card, the key to my case, spare memory cards, a pen and of course a family photo to keep my boys close to me even when hundreds of miles away.

For easy access, in one of the front pockets (which were a good size) I kept my glasses and sunglasses in the worlds oldest glasses case ever - I don't even like animal print. And in the other a notepad and pen that didnt actually even get used at all, in the other.
The last bits inside my bag were a packet of tissues in the little inside pocket and my little 'first aid kit' of sorts. There are many things missing from it that I would usually have in it at home like scissors and throat sweets but took out stuff like that for travelling. For days in Disney it held:
Plasters, a mirror, pressed powder from Soap and Glory, hand sanitizer from Soap and Glory, a powder brush from Ecotools, my inhaler, and spare hair ties and bobby pins.

There was also plenty room to fold my hoodie or whatever up and pop it in or any little nick knacks that I bought instead of carrying a separate carrier bag. (Look out for my Disney haul at the end of the series!)

And there we have it, somethings completely useless but I think I had everything I may of needed.
What do you think? What do you usually take with you to Disneyland or other theme parks?

  1. I remember my first time at Disney I took a big bag full of everything lol I learned and started taking absolutely NOTHING except my ID which I actually gave to my husband so he could put it in his wallet. So much better than taking a bag bc we missed the bag check like lol

    1. Haha See, I was the other way around!! In 2010 I hardly had anything except my autograph book and a pen and my park pass in a lanyard around my neck.
I can't imagine what it must be like for people with kids...or actually I can because I say them walking around with giant backpacks lol

    1. Thanks so much Natasha! I hope that there isn't too much Disney putting people off :P
Yes, you really do! I think it's something everyone should experience. We even met a 30/40 year old man who was there with his girlfriend and he had never been before but wanted to experience it :)

  5. I love all of your Disney things! I've seen a Lipsmackers lip balm collection with Disney Princesses on and I want it so badly (despite finding it in the kid's section of a shop, shh). I love your Soap & Glory bits too!

  6. I was highly amused that you can see your reflection in the glasses. I may be too easily amused. Also, you're so organised! I always end up forgetting stuff. D:
