Life Lately // October

Doing
Becoming overrun with blog work! haha I know that to most people they would just post when they could or whatever but I have to post every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and I will lose sleep to make sure that they are up at 9am on said days!
Other than that we are not moving! haha (Unlike the past two Life Lately's) But I am looking for a job again... It's just like the thing that when you want just a few hours, it's all over 16 hours that are going but bet your bottom dollar if I were looking for more hours, it would be all little jobs that were advertised.
We manage fine with the job that Jake is in, which is such a blessing compared to how it was when we lived in Newcastle, but I just want a little cleaning job 8-12 hours a week for some money of my own and for us to be able to run a car again! (So yeah, anyone know of anything give me a shout!)

Thinking
That people are far too into Christmas. I know people who have had their trees up since the end of September and have all their gifts bought and wrapped already. I'm not a super Grinch, I just wait until the beginning of December to get in the spirit - any sooner and you loose the hype nearer the time!
I'd love to live in America purely to experience their enthusiasm for Halloween! Thing is, if you don't like the holiday - don't celebrate it! But at least let everyone else enjoy it before starting with all your crazy person 'CHHHRRRRIIISSSSTTTMMMASSSSS' annoyances ;P

Loving
My new blog design! What do you think? It's literally taken me like 4 days and thats working on it at least 5 hours per day...yes, I'm that picky and indecisive! I'm also loving how many awesome comments I've been getting lately and after almost a full 3 years on this blog (5 years blogging altogether) it's such a good feeling to have people enjoy and appreciate my work. So thank you!!

Hating
The weather and consequently being ill. I love Autumn as much as the next blogger, but I've been ill pretty much since I got back from Disneyland. I've had the worse cough and heavy chest as well as the inevitable runny nose for far longer than is acceptable and I don't want it to be poopy weather anymore!!

Other
- Hopefully you've seen that this year I got to decorate for All Hallows Eve! I love how it turned out.
- I'm now on my way to a quarter of a century old! That's scary. And also a little sad that I'm not my lucky number in age anymore (23.)
- After 10 weeks in the hospital my amazing Nana eventually got to go home just before we went on holiday. Although she was diagnosed with Parkinson's while in the hospital, she is doing alot better and I can't wait to go to this years panto with her. (More in a future post)
- We obviously had an awesome time in Disneyland if you didn't know.
- I've been messing on with my layout again, what do you think? There are still a few things to tweak but advertising space is back and only £1.00! Check out more info here.

Sounds like you've been putting in a lot of time in to your blog & it looks awesome!

    1. Looking into it, it seems to be because of my asthma so hopefully I can try to get it under control :)
Thank you very much! And exactly, I couldn't be bothered with it...especially having a dog to keep away from it haha.

  3. Hey misses ^_^ Glad your nana is out of hospital! Wishing her all the best and glad she's doing better <3
Your new layout is gorgeous! It feels so organised and everything stands out so well! I know you're as picky as me with layouts haha, I'm always tweaking mine.

I know what you mean about the job thing haha! I keep switching because I'm trying to get more hours >_< I like the new job I've started now, just in a little card shop which is fine. But I have an interview for a GP's receptionist position in like 2 weeks, which Im really hoping to get because its full time! :)
Your letter arriving today really made me smile, all the glitter popped out the envelope and I was like a child, like, 'ooh!!' haha :D It was so lovely to read and cheered me up! (I'm not a morning person haha)
Hope you have a great week! :D

    1. Thanks so much Jemma!! She's not happy about how much help she needs now but were trying to tell her shes given us all help for so many years that it's her turn now!

Well lets hope that you get the perfect job soon and are settled in that. It's hard nowadays because you hardly ever find fill time contracts even if the hours mainly are full time! Uh!

Aww yey, I'm so glad I could brighten your morning. I didn't know whether you'd be cursing the glitter or welcome it haha/

  6. That's great news about your nan! Despite the diagnosis, it sounds positive, so I'm sure you're going to enjoy lots of great times together. I do love the new layout, it's very fancy :) I must get around to making some buttons to, I would like to start signing up for a few ads in the new year, then I can work on my 'growing my blog' goal :)

I've yet to get sick. So I'm just not talking about getting sick.
Also. Here's to being a quarter of a century old! Almost!

    1. Yey! Thank you. Yes, one thing that shouldn't of been funny but was one day was when we went in to visit and asked how she was. She started crying and said, 'I still have Parkinsons!' It was sad but we couldn't help but grin and had to explain that it unfortunately won't go away and the medication is to stop the symptoms being as bad.

I keep wanting to invest in some ad space but it's all so expensive and I'm poor haha! I'll have to rely on people just stumbling across me...:P

    1. I want to go back already. I truly appreciate DLP more than ever when seeing other peoples US adventures...I don't think my stress could handle the busyness over there.
Hope you are feeling better now!! And lets cross our fingers that the rain goes away soon...3 full days of non stop rain here :/
      Thank you beautiful.

  9. So pleased about your Nana - I'm glad she's doing better!

It's a tad early to be thinking about Christmas but I know it won't be too long before I start panicking about it but def too early for the tree to be up! And I love your new theme - fits your blog perfectly :)

    1. Thanks so much!

I'm real lucky that we don't really do too many gifts and I don't have a huge family so no shopping stresses. It'll fun when the times comes though to get the tree up!
I'm glad you like it..a few little tweaks here and there I still think though :P
