Favorite Photo.

Although I can't take part (obviously I'm a little too far away from London) I wanted to share my respect and support for an amazing cause and fundraising attempt. If you can be apart of  The Big Poppy Run, you should! Find out more information here.

Top Thankful or Happy Moments.
- Seeing two Herons in the field made me smile during our very rainy walk.
- My Dad. Just in general, I'm very thankful to have one as amazing as him.
- Being included in Jades, 'These blogs and why' post.
- Supportive friends both blogger and non blogger.
- Having at least Baker to watch Disney films with as Jake wont.
- Being able to read my book in peace in bed, with Jake having been on night shift (sorry babe!)

This weeks word was 'Years' -
Years fly by these days. As a kid time seems to drag and last forever, you long to grow old and by the time your 18 you're wishing you could slam on the breaks and halt adulthood a little longer.
I now use this weird form of online journalling of sorts to document my years, so those thoughts and memories don't rush by so fast.

Other Articles etc of Interest.

Northumberland Coast Named as Marine Wildlife Haven
Wish Granting Fairies Hit Newcastle!
Disney Couple Names - I have to admit this made me cringe! But some are funny.

Question of the Week.

Are you afraid of being your true self around others? Why?

I wish I was one of the people that could answer no to this, but after certain happenings in the blogosphere recently (and over the past year if I tell the truth) I have to say that I am. That doesn't mean that I let them make me not be my true self, but it does make me very self conscious and tent to not voice my opinions much for fear of ridicule and contradiction.
I suppose you are either just a strong minded, 'don't care' type of person or someone who is easily gotten too. If you know my past you'll understand why I am the latter.

How about you...?!

  1. Ugh, what happened? Don't ever let internet trolls get to you! Some people take pleasure from harassing others, but that doesn't mean something is wrong with you - something is clearly wrong with them.
I would love to include you in my upcoming Tour of Blogland post - check your email for details!

    1. Just another blogger who seems to talk down to a few different people. I try not to let it bother me but now and again I just wonder why they act as if they are better than us!
Thanks so much for that again Miriam, can't wait to see it!

  2. Aww, I was just scrolling along and seen my little post included there, thank you gorgeous! <3 ^__^
Some other great posts there I just discovered too, thanks!

I don't think I'm afraid of being my true self really.. Sometimes I'm a little bit shy or a little more reserved with people I don't know or like, but I think that's normal. I get anxious meeting new people or with certain social situations but I really try not to let it hold me back. I think I've gotten much better at it this year :)

    1. Of course! Had to stop myself from including two of your posts haha Thought I might look like a stalker.

Blogging is a great help with confidence but a hindrance when stuff like what has gone on happens. Never mind, onwards and up wards.

  3. Honestly, I've always been a bit weary about, as Miriam put it, internet trolls. That is one of the reasons it took me so long to start and commit to my own blog. I am not one who can, without hesitation, say that I don't care what others think. I do, but I try really hard to keep their opinion in perspective. You have such a lovely spirit--please don't let others switch it off.

    1. Yes, I feel the exact same. And I really should think that 'what others think of me is none of my business'! :)
You are too kind, thank you very much for being so lovely!!

  4. I always love these posts by you, and to see my post on here this week is amazing, you are so lovely.

As for this situation with blogging, please don't let it get to you too much. One person should not be enough to dampen the spirit of a headstrong, kind hearted lady. Never let them beat you chick, you're better than they will ever be.

    Sending you big hugs xo

  7. Oh no that sucks about you not being able to be yourself :( I hope everything's okay just ignore whoever it is they have nothing better to do with their time than make you feel bad! My boyfriend works really late (not night shift but until about 11pm) so I always have the house to myself as well :P

  8. I love these posts. Especially the top thankful or happy moments and the question of the week. I think everyone has a little something they hold back from others, whether they acknowledge it or not. I just try and have faith in my opinions and moral compass. And I'm never not open to seeing things differently. Life is a learning curve. Also love that photo! Hope you feel better soon. Don't let people ruin the blogosphere for you. :)

Thanks so much, thats really lovely of you!! Oh it just a blogger or two talking down to me and I've seen it happen to others too. It's gone on for quite a while now, downing on other peoples opinions and stuff.
