♥ And last but no way least the amazing act of generosity I (Baker) received from the beautiful Leona and her lovely little Rex. Knowing that we struggle for money and wanting Baker to have some new Christmas toys she sent us some from our favorite online pet store Barks and Bunnies (with the sweetest note might I add) that made me cry all day! I can't say thank you enough. What a surprise!

Question of the Week.
To you, what is the true meaning of Christmas?
Being an atheist, most people would think that it's hypocritical of me to celebrate a Christian holiday and I agree that those who are complete atheists, with no knowledge or who give no recognition to the origin of the holiday can sometimes be slightly materialistic. Unless, however, you use the holiday to celebrate something else. Because I do not believe in a 'God' I like to say that Christmas to me is a holiday of celebrating my family - especially seeing as in the UK we have no such holidays as Thanksgiving etc - and making sure to spend time with them and let them know how much I appreciate them with gifts. (We don't go overboard with gifts in our family.)
I do though, and will if I ever have children, respect and remember the fact that in certain religions they celebrate this day as Jesus' birthday - it's why it exists and no matter anyone's personal opinions I am sure the whole world could at least appreciate the love and beliefs that certain people have.
You don't need to be Christian to wish someone a Merry Christmas, nor a Jew to wish someone a Happy Hanukkah and so on. Don't be offended if someone wishes you well, just say it back...it won't harm you and I'm sure your God would appreciate your kindness to your fellow man.
What ever you believe, have a great holiday and all the best for the new year.
At this point I'd usually welcome you to share your happy moments of the week as well as answer the question of the week, but this week I want to say that I as much as I respect everyone's opinions I really do not want any kind of hostility, argument, hate etc regarding religion or my answer above pretty please. Any comment showing any of those nasty traits will simply not be approved. Keep it kind people. Merry Christmas.
