Spring 2015 Hobby Craft Haul!

I know I said in my last collective haul post that I don't usually shop often enough to warrant separate haul posts, but what with working and all now and having a little extra money, I accidentally gave Hobby Craft some money in exchange for new DIY-ey items.
I seriously can't even remember why I went on the website - maybe I was looking for scrapbooks actually. Either way I placed a little order and after it arrived I decided that I wanted more and placed another haha. Thankfully the deals and sales on at the moment are super good and I think I got about £60 worth of stuff for £44. Boom. Here's the low down on what I all got.

Scrapbooks! So maybe if you've been here a while you'll of seen my post all about my giant memory box (if not you can see it here), anyways I love having all my tickets and leaflets etc etc of places we've been and things we've done, but I feel it a bit of a shame that they're just stuck in a box and I only get it out to have a shifty through every so often.
So yeah, I'm gonna start to attempt and sort the last 3 years into these 3 books. I ordered one and when it arrived decided that I wanted to do them a year per book as they were the best saving. Only £5 each instead of £10 each!
Do many of you scrapbook? I won't be being overly fancy and decorating them a lot but I'm happy with them so far.

The next photo of sparkliness is all of my 'spur of the moment' stuff! For some reason free shipping is always more appealing than having to pay 3 odd quid so I literally spent about 2 hours looking in every section for something to make up the money to £30 to qualify for it. I decided to try some of the clear stamps with the acrylic blocks for when I'm making cards. Anyone that's had a card from me will know first hand that my freehand lettering is like that of a young child making Christmas cards at nursery.
Following on another thing to round up the money was these gem numbers. I thought they'd be nice to go on the cover of my scrapbooks to title each year. I also grabbed some fabric dye as apparently nowhere in my town sells it and I need it for a couple of things; some chalkboard paint as I've been after it since my last Hobby Craft order circa Halloween 2014 but it was out of stock; photo corners for putting things into the scrapbooks; the ink pad to go along with the afor mentioned clear stamps and a gold and silver pen. Everyone needs a gold and silver pen and I have none left!

Lastly was something I got with my first order. The embroidery thread that I use to create my hair wraps and handmade friendship bracelets. I wanted some brighter, spring-like colours and these kind of reminded me of Rapunzel. :)

So that's everything! Are you a crafty person? Do you like to buy craft supplies? If so where is your favorite place to shop?

  2. Such a great idea! I have all of my movie stubs and cards/pamphlets from places we've gone all saved in boxes as well! I looked at them not too long ago and the ink from the movie stubs are all faded! haha I can't even see what movies we've gone to!

    1. Thank you! They're such nice things to have and look back on aren't they? A few of mine have faded too so I was hoping putting them in the books will stop that.

  4. I do love Hobbycraft and didn't you do well?! I buy a lot of knitting/crocheting stuff from there, it's brilliant value.
Those scrapbooks look lovely though. I made the husband one for Christmas a few years ago full of stuff I'd collected whilst we were dating, he LOVED it. I'd definitely like to do a little more of it.

  7. This is a great haul Danielle, I love the little illustrations you've created on that first page and I really like the idea of buying those glittery numbers to create a scrapbook with. This has inspired me to get back into scrapbooking - at the moment I just have a memory box but maybe I should try and display everything instead! Lovely post. - Tasha
