What We Got For Easter 2015

Obligatory disclaimer to say how thankful I am for anything and everything I receive on any day of the year, let alone at special times of the year. Also I know that all holidays have now been far too commercialized and giving of gifts at Easter is not a customary practise, though as I've stated in a previous post Easter to me is not a religious holiday but a thanks giving to nature for a new season, new life and a chance to appreciate and re-evaluate current relationships.

With that out of the way, lets get onto sharing with you the gifts that Jake & myself and my parents got for my little man - Baker! Any excuse for the dog to get spoiled and I'm there and so I obviously had to take the chance to place an order for a forage box of goodies with our favourite pet store, Barks and Bunnies.
The Easter basket with gifts is from my parents...have a peek at what was in them both below.

Baker's Forage Box from Barks and Bunnies included - Red Dingo Turquoise Stars Collar, Barks and Bunnies Handmade 'Roll Over' treats,  Fantasy Flier Frizbee, Antos Cerea Hedgehogs.

Despite being 24 years old my Mam still treats me to some goodies of my own. I know, I know, I've been going on and on about losing weight after my terrible 3 stone gain..but it is Easter.
As you can see I got an array of edible treats as well as two lovely wildlife themed mugs and two beautiful bunches of Daffodils! (After my others passed away prematurely - thanks central heating :P) I can't forget to mention my early pacey new or 'piece of new', a coat that I desperately needed and super Dad treated me to a few weeks back now.
You can check out the fabulous haul of things I got from my parents last year, here. Oh and Bakers was in a separate post last year so you can find that one here!

Thank you very much again Mam and Dad for Baker and I's (and Jakes) Easter gifts. Love you lots!

Did you guys give or receive any thoughtful and fun gifts? Or even just eat lots of chocolate? I hope you got to spend this weekend with the people you love and made sure to give thanks to mother nature for our amazing planet and all the new life that Spring brings!!!

(P.s I am not affiliated with Barks and Bunnies, Baker and I just think they are an amazing company and that more people need to know of them!)

  3. Those Antos Cerea Hedgehogs are so cute! It feels strange to be calling dog treats cute, but they're adorable. Lucky Baker having a family who loves him so much.

The wildlife mugs your mum bought you are gorgeous - what perfect, unusual Easter treats.

My mum made up a Easter gift bag for me and my boyfriend, so we've been feasting on chocolate since last Friday! I also got a lovely Yankee Candle bunny tea light holder, bunny egg cups and a Easter mug. I might be 25 but I still love cute, seasonal presents!

    1. Aren't they though?! He used to always get one when we'd go to a certain pet shop. They had them in a basket on the floor by the till and he'd pick it up them show the person at the till and lay and eat it while I paid! haha

Mugs are from Home Bargains! They've a whole host of lovely woodland creatures :)

Aw your Mam is sweet! Ahhh I was looking at that Yankee Candle Bunny set. Still want it even though Easter is over...
You're never too old for anything Charlene!!

  4. Oh my god Danielle, this is single handedly the best, cutest, sweetest and most adorable video I've ever seen, I swear I nearly cried it was so nice! You have really spoiled Baker (in a good way), and you really are the best example for how people should treat their pets. You can see the amount of love you have for him, and he is just like a little kid which was wonderful to see, I laughed at the part where he was just playing with the wrapping paper haha and just pulling out the straw hay pieces. Ugh, cannot praise this enough, I want to do this now! I didn't get anything this Easter, no presents (we never get any), and this year I opted out of Easter Eggs. Not a single one has crossed these lips of mine this year! However, the same can't be said about the biscuits.... haha.

  5. We've just discovered the wonder of Barks and Bunnies - it's a bit of a game changer isn't it??
Baker looks super duper happy with all of his bits and bobs! I very nearly bought the hedgehogs this week and didn't, I don't know why!
Bakers' frisbee face is the absolute best too.

    1. Aren't they just the loveliest?! So glad to call them friends of over a year now.

He would be happy with just the box and straw so everything else is icing ;) Yes - get the hedgehogs next time. Just do it. haha

Oh it was so cute this week playing with his frizbee. A family with a young boy stopped to watch him catch it and were cheering him, then I heard the little boy say to his Mam he wanted a go, so I turned around and asked him if he wanted to play - looked like it made his day and it was SO fantastic to see Baker make a little friend too.
Great advert for those frizbees eh ;)

  6. Such a cute video! Looks like you had a lovely holiday! Kris and I don't really do anything for holidays, I just wanted to pop to the British store for some hot cross buns. We didn't make it last weekend, so I'm hoping they've got some left for me this weekend!

You'll probably know what I'm going to say before I do, but I have never had and really don't want to try hot cross buns! haha I hope you were successful in your search though :P

  7. This post made me smile so much. You should know by now how much I love the posts on Baker! Little fur babies always leave me smiling, just look how happy he is! Such a lovely lucky boy.

Frazers dad still gets all his kids an easter egg for easter and an advent calender for christmas even though the youngest one is 24 (frazer). It's such a lovely thought!
Hope you had a great easter sweetie, even if it was last week!
