My Life in Photos || May Play Day

When I started doing these 'day in photos' style posts, I didn't know whether I'd keep them up. Seems that I've done pretty well. And though the photos might not be that great, it's still gonna be fun for me to look back on next year and compare my days.
This day is obviously from May and was pretty much a normal day with only a couple changes to the regular routine.

1 // The sneaky sparrows having their breakfast as I leave for work always starts my day with a smile.
2 // I love how quiet town is when I get to work.
3 // Usually, after work, I'd walk straight home the way I came but this morning Mam and Dad were going away for the weekend and had an early train so met me. I walked back through the Castle Vale Park and along the river, taking photos as I went.
4 // It's lucky I did have my camera as when I got to the river at the bottom of those steps, this Heron was waiting for me. I even caught him catching a fish on camera.
5 // I realize that it's still early morning when I walk past where the ducks all sit and they're still fast asleep covered in rain drops!

6 // Washing machine on, housework game strong.
7 // Watering my little seedlings that are starting to sprout!
8 // As I sat down to check my emails (and blog comments :P) Baker decided to give me a side by side comparison of how much he has grown.
9 // Checking out the day's to-do list for what chores I still had.
10 // We went out together with Baker for a change and Jake popped into the sports shop to get little man a new football. He loves playing ball.

11 // After leaving the field this is the little old tunnel way in the historic town walls that we walk through to get home. As I turned around I thought this would make a cool photo with the old man silhouetted.
12 // Back home and cracking on with photo editing, watching Sabrina and Jake playing Xbox.
13 // ... of course Baker has to be close by and instead of laying in his lovely expensive bed, he curled up on the bean bag to be closer to me :)
14 // Noodle soup for tea.
15 // I always amuse myself in this mirror while getting ready for bed. It makes half of me disappear!

Yep, that was my day. If you do similar posts, as always, feel free to pop the link in the comments so we can all take a peek into your life too!

  1. Wow, your heron photo is gorgeous, we saw one in Morpeth a few weeks ago but my lens wasn't good enough to get a good photo, I was practically dangling off the bridge by my ankles trying to get a good one! X

    1. Unfortunately it was taken on my old camera so is super bad quality but thank you! I have a 70-300mm lens for birding which is helpful but this guy was actually quite close in.

  11. I always love having a little nosey into your life, Danielle. It's always such a pleasure to see your photographs - you manage to capture the beauty in day to day moments. Also, strange comment, but how lovely is the Berwick Advertiser building?! I'm such an architecture geek.

    1. It's not the most jetsetter life but I quite enjoy doing these day in photos posts :) Aw thank you!! That is the sweetest thing to say.
It's beautiful isn't it. Shame that they've recently moved out of it and it's being bought to be used as a dentist :/ I hope they don't remove the signage...

  12. What a great day of photos. So kind of the heron to wait and pose :) Aww moment at baby Baker, what a darling! Stella's barred from football after putting her teeth through one of my nephew's favourites! A very productive day, well done you :) xox
