A Year of Sky

It seems over the past year that I have been pretty obsessed with photographing the sky...
I really am fascinated by how it changes and the truly awesome colours it produces, so I thought I'd share some (well, a lot actually) with you.
This is my year in skies.

The majority of these have not been edited, however those with silhouettes may of been touched up sightly.
Let me know which is your favorite and why in the comments.

  2. I have a serious obsession with sky photography too, especially sunsets so i absolutely adore ALL of these pictures. They are beyond beautiful, you have a great eye :-) surprisingly my favourite picture isn't a sunset at all, I love the 6th one down where you have captured the bird in flight. I love the colours, lines and textures of it. Great job!!

    1. It's fun because you'll never get the exact same shot twice! Thank you very much :) I do a lot of birding photography so couldn't not grab a couple silhouettes haha

  3. I like 6 and 7 with the bird flying, and the rainbow ones are close runners up. I'm a sucker for taking photos of pretty skies too, but I've never had as much success with it as you have.

  8. Oh my gosh Danielle, this post is just stunning! My favourite is number 6, the colours look like the ocean is in the sky and the silhouette of the seagull just gliding across the clouds is so beautiful. Those seem like the kind of skies you just want to sit and stare up into and enjoy the moment. This might be one of my favourite posts of yours, it's just beautiful. - Tasha

  14. I would have thought my favourite would be a rainbow but it turned out to be #8 church spire, and arches, and the river, and a bird in flight, and a pretty pink sky...gorgeousness :) x
