Well hello there little acronym, OOTD! It's been over 2 years since I last did an outfit of the day post and the reason I have brought it back, is the reason I started it.
I am not a fan of fashion and have always, from when I was first able to choose and buy my own clothes, purposely ignored or gone against trends haha. Now as an adult with a life full of cleaning, dog walking and adventuring, the most important aspect of choosing an outfit is comfort.
As I restart this mini little series type of deal-i-m-bob I do so to prove that you do not need to follow whats hot or whats not to dress semi cute, nor do all bloggers have the time to look like a model everyday (if ever in my case lol). I'll shut up now and tell you about what I'm wearing ;)
A quick run down of the exact pieces I am wearing and where they are from -
Sunglasses - Black Wayfarers, Rollersnakes
Necklace - Deathly Hallows Pendant, Etsy
T-Shirt - White Cap Sleeve Top, George at Asda
Shirt - Mickey Mouse Denim Button Up, Primark
Trousers - Dark Grey Cord 'Legging/Jegging' things, M&Co
Shoes - Tartan Canvas Plimsolls, Primark
This particular outfit is (probably surprisingly to a lot of you) rather smart for me! It is obviously still super casual but I never dress up and so this was my attempt at looking slightly more put together for popping down to Newcastle for the day.
Dad and I drove down - hence the comfy footwear...who am I kidding, all I wear is trainers and comfy shoes - to do a couple of errands and grab lunch with my good friend Laura! I had a coat too but as the North East is still getting some nice mild weather it wasn't needed most of the time.
You may be wondering why these photos have such a fantastically interesting background! Well I'm not the biggest fan of having my photo taken as it is and getting it taken outside is even worse. This way I had my studio lighting and could set up the tripod to pose alone. I feel the need to insert here that I have Photoshopped my skin as it is behaving extra appallingly right now.
I promise next time I'll get Jake to get behind the camera and grab a couple shots somewhere more scenic. Until then let me know what you think of me doing a post like this and if you prefer to only see outfit posts from actually fashionable people*!
*It won't stop me doing them ;)
