Talking Points.
My heart is breaking for the world of which we are not treating as our home.
My eyes are sore from crying tears for people I do not know.
My stomach feels sickly, my heads a mess
- I can't even begin to comprehend how terrifying it is for those who are not 'safe'.

In one day hundreds of people have lost their lives or friends and family, due to other humans being evil to the core of their sole. (& natural disasters)
Suicide bombings in Lebanon.
In Japan an earthquake with magnitude 5.2 occurred.
A suicide bombing at a funeral in Baghdad.
Multiple terrorist attacks across Paris and a train derailment in France too.

What can you say? I mourn for the world and the horror that those people have endured.
My thoughts will be with them for a long time.

Have courage and be kind.

  1. It really has been a horrible week for the world and I am really thankful for my wonderful family and friends and for being safe. I truly hope that one day we will see world peace. Also, how amazing it must have been to see those geese migrating! What a beautiful sight. xxx

    1. Here, here!
What's more fab is they have been passing every morning as they travel between feeding grounds - it is amazing.

  2. I just posted about my feelings yesterday on everything happening right now and I am right there with you Danielle, the world is grieving at the moment. I love your shot of the bridge all lit up in solidarity, beautiful shot and thank goodness that SeaWorld are finally scrapping their cruel shows - hopefully in the next few years there'll be a move to sea pens and maybe even some releases for these mistreated creatures. I'm glad that people like you exist in this world Danielle. - Tasha

  3. We are so lucky. It is so true! That is a beautiful shot of the bridge all lit up like that. I am so glad Sea World are stopping their shows now too.

    1. Indeed we are. Thank you. And it's a big step in the right direction :)

  4. What a beautiful photograph, Danielle. The images of solidarity from around the world bring a lump to my throat. What an awful few days it has been - truly heartbreaking and terrifying.

p.s. thank you again for including my post - I hope you liked the pub dog photographs!

    1. Thanks so much. I'd love to see photos of all of the lights from all over the world - not just the big monuments like Sydney Opera House etc but all the little towns too.

You're very welcome. I did, very much :)

  5. I think the photograph is very fitting for your thoughts at the end. The world makes me shudder sometimes, it really does. You could cry every day over the world and that's a sad sad thing.

    1. Thank you Kerri. It is a sad world, but I suppose we have to keep on going or we'd live in fear with swollen eyes forever.
