Talking Points.
I'm really struggling with these talking points lately. I've become so used to keeping my opinion to myself or not talking about things important to me due to always, without fail, annoying someone and having them fire off at me.
However, if this point annoys you...I really am not even sure why you're even reading my blog. I make it pretty obvious how I feel about animal cruelty therefore will not apologize for what I am about to say.
Using an animal for fashion or choosing fashion over the life of a creature is nothing other than pathetic and disgusting these days. There is no need whatsoever for you to have a stupid woolly hat with a pom pom made from a Raccoon tail and if you feel the need to brag about the fact you do have one, then that makes you extra evil.

  1. Thank you for including my post. xx I agree with you about fashion and animals, although, as same as you, I avoid talking about it and it annoys me so much.

    1. You're welcome! Oh gosh I swear it makes me so angry when people walk past wearing fur. Urgh.

  2. Your Thumper dressing gown sounds so cute Danielle and I am right up there with you in terms of fur. I don't see the point anymore, especially when there are so many good synthetics out there. I've never understood the appeal of fur much anyway, it's not my kind of thing. Love that shot of your Mum and Baker too. - Tasha

I can't even talk about it, it gets me so angry. Like WHY?!
      Thank you!! :)

  3. I appreciated the point about social media. I have a sort of love-hate relationship with social media, although I wouldn't even stand by the "love" part too much. It's more like indifference. It often just seems like a waste of time and I wonder why I'm focusing energy on social media rather than my actual blog. I know that social media is the main way that people find my blog (Facebook is where most of my traffic comes from and I'm working on getting more through Twitter) but I wish there was a way to just cut out social media and still have a "successful" blog.

    1. You've hit the nail on the head there! They are my exact feelings. I enjoy being able to keep in contact with people that live far away but other than that I just end up annoyed by attention seekers, those who put their life out for everyone to see and all the clique-iness of twitter!

  4. Urgh, who are these people wearing fur on their bobble hats! That's disgusting. I wonder if they've seen the images and videos of fur farms... I can't watch them without shedding some tears.

    1. It's the same with Ugg boots, the film I watched about making those was sickening. I cry all the way through anything like that. I think people should look into where things come from before wearing/using etc.

  5. Ew! Who boasted about wearing a raccoon tail on their head? That's so disgusting. I'll never understand people who think fashion is worth murdering for - especially when there are so many fantastic faux alternatives. They might think it's for 'beauty' but their decisions show how ugly their ethics are.

Thank you as always for including my post, you lovely little thing! I always get such a big smile on my face when I see one of my posts included in your round-ups.

p.s. I also love your Disney marathon which is going on - you've definitely put me in the mind to have a Disney DVD day this weekend!

    1. Someone that my Mam works with. She came into work after Xmas and someone said they liked her hat, then she piped up to say it was an expensive real raccoon tail version not one of the cheaper faux ones. I can't even look at her anymore. There really are NO reasons at all to be wearing fur.

I always get such a big smile from ALL of your posts hence including as many as I can without looking like a stalker ;)

Oooh! Yes, I fiiinnallly completed my classics collection last year so decided to watch them 1-53 every day from the 1st of Jan!

  6. I don't think I ever said thank you for featuring my post in this post! Bad Aimee! *slaps wrists* THANK YOU! And I really couldn't agree more with you about the animal cruelty bit. I've been hearing so much, too much, recently about animal cruelty, animals killed for fur, animals hurt for tourists etc. It makes me cry every time I read or see it. It breaks my heart what people will do for fur, when it's so unnecessary because NEWS FLASH; there's fake fur. And really, do you even need that? Just forget about fur completely. Argh, I could go on about this because it just makes my blood boil. But I won't. x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

  7. I didn't think people even still war fur, except in the arctic or somewhere ridiculously cold! As if! I wouldn't bother telling them that's wrong or arguing I would just say ew and ask if they knew they had a dead racoon on their head... Most people are worth ignoring though :P

  8. That photo is so sweet :)

I'm trying to walk more and did walk to work one week (the volunteer job in the same town, not the proper job that's a half hour drive away before you think I've gone fitness bonkers!) When it's cold or wet it's horrid though and your walk always looks lovely!

Haha all walking helps! I hope you're enjoying it. It helps me in the morning to have the 10 min walk when I've just woken up haha.
