What I Watched in 2015

160 movies. Well, technically I watched a movie 160 times in 2015 as I re-watched some films multiple times...as you'll see... But yeah.
As I keep track of everything I watch, I wanted to document it here for my own further reference, to be honest! I enjoy a good movie and make plenty use of our Netflix account, as well as our DVD collections, though tend to forget what I have and haven't seen!
I have also just this month completed watching my Disney Classics movie collection, right through from number 1 to 53, daily from the 1st of January. It was a great way to appreciate the evolution of animation through the ages and with all the DVD bonus features it's a better experience than just watching them via Netflix etc. I decided after that to watch all of the Pixar movies through in order each day too, though obviously there isn't nearly as many as those.

Anyways, below you will see how eclectic my movie watching tastes are and see which were my favorites of the year with the amount I watched them ;)

At first, I thought 160 movies was quite a lot, however considering there are 365 days in a year - 366 this year - it isn't really that many! I aim to beat that in 2016 and hopefully with more movies that I haven't seen before as opposed to just the same ones over and over ;)
Do you have any recommendations...?

  1. My gosh that's so many movies!! I probably watched 5... if that haha. I'm not a movie person, I find them too long to keep my attention. I prefer TV shows :)

    1. Ooh really?! I thought you'd be a movie person! I love a good TV series too but never watch TV if that makes sense.
If I added all the TV shows I watched too the list would be considerably bigger!
      Right through -
      Friends from x 2.
      Downton Abbey.
      How I met your mother.
      3rd rock from the sun.
Sabrina the teenage witch x 3/4
      Saved by the bell x2
      SBTB the new class.
      SBTB the college years.
      Most recent series/episodes of -
      Game of thrones
      Walking dead

And definitely way more that I can't think of right now.

  4. For 2016 watch The Martian, really enjoyable, not scary and had plenty funny moments!

That is some list, my fave on it would be Saving Mr Banks, I love it and it has become the film we watch the night before we go to Florida.

    1. It's been on my list for a while! Though some things I've heard about it sound a little crude haha.
Saving Mr Banks is absolutely amazing and doesn't get nearly enough recognition. I kicked off in Tesco as it was priced at £3 but absolute rubbish was selling for £15. Surely it should go on the quality of the movie!

  5. Wow that's a lot of movies! Some really good ones (that I've watched) on that list too! What was Horrible Bosses 2 like? I quite enjoyed Horrible Bosses! For some reason, I thought you wouldn't like scary films like The Woman in Black: Angel of Death. I watched that for the first time a few weeks ago, very jumpy! x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Not enough though lol I will beat it this year! Yeah Horrible Bosses 2 was good, though not as good as the first one which is occasionally the case with sequels.
I love phycological thrillers and horrors!! The only ones I don't like are gory things and something I refuse to ever watch is Saw!

    1. I say it is totally worth it! Not like all those Marvel hero movies. It has comedy and romance, with a bit of gore. The whole package. I really recommend it!

    2. Sounds like my perfect movie! :)

    3. Yep! We don't discriminate on genres haha Unless it's filth or gore, two things I have no interest in :P
I am yet to see it as well, hopefully in the next few weeks. We don't actually have a cinema near by...the closest is 60+ miles away so a movie trip can be pretty darn expensive with the train etc.

  8. This is a really cool idea - I haven't ever kept track of what I watched, but I should do, it would be fun! What was your favourite one, if you could pick one at all? - Tasha

    1. You should! It is cool to look back on and see how many times you re-watch your faves haha.
Tasha - how can you expect me to pick just one?! haha If I choose one out of the ones I watched for the first time ever, I'll say Cinderella!

  9. That's SO MANY movies. Last week I watched Inside Out and Cinderella. So beautiful. But I may have liked Inside Out more (I totally cried in the end). But omg seriously though, 160 is a BIG number! Have you watched any of the Oscar nominated films yet?

    1. You think?! I didn't think it was that many. haha As of today (March 9th) I'm at 84 movies for 2016!
I've seen The Revenant, of course Inside Out and Cinderella but to be honest I'm not much of a one for watching movies based on their awards etc. I might give The Martian a go eventually but I'm not too interested in any of the others.

Thank you! It took me a while to collect as I don't have much spare money and only buy dvds when they are on offer/cheap haha.
