My Life in Photos // March 2016

3/12 - check! This month I decided I'd document a little bit of a different day, a rare day that I brave the hell on Earth that is the city. I'm not a city person. I'm not a people person. But sometimes you need to leave the quiet life of your own house to do things only available in the city. A few weeks back my camera took a tumble while on the tripod and my lens snapped off...I did a lot of crying and stressing as it's not something I can just go out and replace and for the price of my excess on the insurance it wouldn't be worth it. Anyways, long story short I needed to get it looked at to see if it could be repaired or was 100% dead and hence our day trip South. It unfolded like this...

1 // I dunno how I feel about it being light at 6am...
2 // Went into work 15 mins early (this clock is a little off) to make sure I was out in time for our early train.
3 // A bunny and a pigeon, it's like a real-life Disney movie at the station.
4 // Off to Newcastle for the day! Quiet coach + fields and fields to wildlife watch = great journey!
5 // This is where the photo taking took a slip...after popping to the camera repair shop to have my lens looked at, but finding it closed during hours it said it would be open, we headed for Primark for Mam to pick up bits she needed for her holiday and I grabbed all the Disney!

6 // With town getting busier and having not had a trip out to it in a while, we hopped on the 100 and headed for the Metrocentre. I was looking for a waste paper basket for my front room but instead came out of Homesense with a new toy box for B-man.
7 // Laura came to meet us and we went for a Pizza Hut lunch!
8 // You can't go to the Metro without going to the Disney Store. It is the only one anywhere near where I live (60+ miles away) and the only one that I've been to in the whole of the UK that is actually any good. Yes including Oxford Street. That store is terrible now compared to 5+ years ago.
9 // And we're back in Berwick all of a sudden?!
10 // After making Jake some tea and showing him my days purchases, Baker and I decided on a movie to watch from today's CEX scores. (£11 for 13 DVDs - get in!)
11 // Sofa hugs with our movie before we both hit the hay.

One thing I've noticed about this day in my life is how dull it is. Like, look back at my others and notice the bright colours, the green grass and blue sky! Small town country life > big city concrete life for sure. What did you get up to in March??

  2. Awww, the photo of you and Baker is so sweet <3 You got some brilliant DVDs too, some in there I haven't seen for ages! I can't take big days out for too long either Danielle, it stresses me out. I much prefer being in the countryside for sure! Hope you're feeling better now and I look forward to seeing how you re-design your layout too! - Tasha

    1. Thank you Tasha <3 I know right?! CeX is the best! Yeah, I really don't know how people deal with living in the city. Even when I lived in Newcastle I stayed out of the city center the majority of the time as busyness and lots of people makes me angry and stressed.

    2. Me too - I can spend the day in London but nothing more than that! CeX is great.

    3. London is a no go for me. Twice in 5 years was too much for me :P

  4. The light mornings really are something - by the time I wake at 8am, it's crazy bright in my living room that I'm almost blinded by the sun.

Ahh, a bunny! I saw some pheasants this weekend that I haven't seen in ages! No photos since we were cycling, but it was nice to see them! I forget how big they are.

I haven't been to the Metrocentre in years, not since I left uni. We used to go maybe twice a year to do a little shopping, usually around my birthday and I always liked it because it's all indoors and warm!

    1. Crazy isn't it?!

Aw I love pheasants! Underrated bird haha.

Oh you've been there before?! I forget you lived semi-northern once! That's why I like it too.

  6. I knew I recognised that Primark :) I used to visit Newcastle fairly often as my ex-boyfriend lived there and I loved that Primark - it's so much brighter and more neatly set out than the one here :). I miss Newcastle. Loved this post as well it's so lovely to have an insight into your day :D xoxo

    1. haha Really?! It's where my family are from and I lived for a while so I'm pretty familiar with everywhere. I think it's the best Primark in the UK to be honest, out of all the ones I've been to anyways. Especially for Disney stuff haha!!

      Thanks so much :)

  7. Primark, it is the best but I am avoiding it at the minute as at this rate my suitcase it going to be full of their stuff and nothing else!

    1. Nothing wrong with that haha! I don't get to go much anyway as the closest are Edinburgh and Newcastle which is 60+ miles in either direction!
