In a community that is so into fantasy worlds and sharing their love and thoughts of their favorite fandoms, I'm pretty surprised to have never seen a Game of Thrones tag!! I decided that we needed one, mainly because I myself want to talk about it. I really want to hear your views on it all too though so I hope you enjoy the questions I've come up with.
May Contain Spoilers - I am 100% up to date with the latest episodes, so if you aren't - beware! I have no control over what I am about to divulge...
Which season did you start watching and what got you into it?
Season 1. My ex and I saw the advert on the TV while watching the UFC late one night and thought it right up our street so watched the season 1 premier, became hooked and I've watched it ever since. I'm yet to convince Jake that he'd like it though.
Books or TV Show?
Unfortunately, I was introduced to the series through the show first and then read the first book. After that I decided I would wait until the whole of the TV show had been completed before reading the other books due to the deviation from the storyline and so not to get myself confused (which is quite easy).
You are born into one of the noble houses, which is it?
The Starks, obviously! I live exactly where Winterfell would be if it were on a map of the UK and with the forests, animals, and way of life - it's me to a tee. Baker would be my 'direwolf' <3
If you could have one of either a Dragon or a Dire Wolf, which would you chose and why?
Dire wolf. No explanation necessary.
What has been the saddest death for you?
I have many. Oh gosh. All of the Dire Wolf deaths (I hope Nymeria makes an appearance again soon and that Ghost isn't touched by the nasty writers haha). I was pretty gutted with Lord Eddard, I loved his character and wanted to see so much more for him. That and the fact that Sean Bean seems to die in like everything poor guy! The Red Wedding sucked, the fact Drogo died was pretty sad too after him and Daenerys ended up with such a good relationship, and weirdly the Hound as I had a bit of a soft spot for him. He could technically still be alive though...so we'll have to see.
Out of those dead, or presumed dead, who would you bring back and why?
Benjen, Renly, Oberyn Martell and those mentioned in the previous question lol. I just think they all would all have really interesting stories and had premature deaths. Though I guess that is the definition of Game of Thrones in general!
[Edit - this was written a few weeks back and so now, Monday the 30th, I can say 'YES'! Benjen is back in the mix. We need more Starks :) ]
Who were you most happy to see killed?
Is there a more popular answer for this than Joffrey?! Other than Ramsay (who we're still stuck with) he was the character I hated the most. The only other I can think of so far is Viserys Targaryen. He was a right bum head and the way he was killed was epic.
Who do you think would make the best spouse? (Think logically and not just who you think is best looking!)
Jon Snow, Samwell Tarley and Jaqen H'ghar. I feel they are all pretty safe to be around. Jon is/was Lord Commander of the nights watch and although he did get killed, I think most people respected him. Samwell has done an awesome job of looking after Gilly and as he isn't right in the middle of trouble, nor anyone who could have any claim to power, he's another safe option to have protecting you. Lastly, Jaqen. He's weird, mysterious, magical and awesome. Although, yes, he is pretty intimidating and potentially dangerous...but who isn't in this world? He's also out of the way of the main conflicts but even if he was in the fray I think his cunning would help you survive.
Out of all methods used to kill on the show, which would you rather use to kill and which to be killed by?
I would rather kill someone via poison or hire an assassin as I can't even stand on a spider let alone stab anyone and I'd rather be killed by something fast that I wasn't expecting...wouldn't everyone? maybe a poison but in my sleep lol.
''When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. '' Tell us your favorite quote from the show.
'Valar Dohaeris' (All men must serve). The reply greeting to Valar Morghulis (All men must die), it's said in High Valyrian and seems to have a pretty intense back story according to this article. It just sounds cool too haha.
I really enjoyed coming up with these questions as well as answering them, so I hope it was interesting for you. This is the list of people I tag which was difficult as I've had to stalk Twitter to see who actually likes it haha -
