Countdown to Disney 2016 // Meet and Greet Wishlist

Another month has passed and it's time for the next Countdown to Disney post. As I've looked back on my meet and greet wishlist from 2014 I've realized how my attitudes towards characters have changed. My list wasn't exactly huge back then, I only had 8 'wants' but this year it was even harder to think of a list at all.
I have always been more 'scared' of fur characters than face characters but for some reason, it's done a switch and now I'd rather stay away from face characters, or Princesses in particular as the face Villians I've met have been okay. Well they were wonderful but I mean my nerves were okay ;)

Anyways, what with there being so many characters out and about at DLP recently due to all the refurbishments and closures I have more to choose from than normal. A lot of refurb is due to have ended by our trip (hence booking those dates...unlike some people who have gone and then moaned and talked smack about DLP for it all) so maybe there will be less characters around, never the less this is my meet and greet wishlist!

Mickey and Minnie
I always meet Mickey, how could you not? But the last time I met Minnie was 2010 as we missed her twice last time! I also really, really want another photo with both of them together because the only one I had was in front of the limo in WDS front lot, with a person that meant I had to delete the photo :( Boo.

Abu and Genie
As much as Genie is just an awesome character to begin with, I think the fact that Robin Williams voiced him is where my ties to him come from. I remember in 2010 he was stood down at the left of the castle meeting a line of people when a couple of ducks on the grass behind the fence started quacking real loud. He turned around and was miming away to them with such animation, it was so funny!
I think Abu would be just a cheeky and fun to meet and that's why these guys are on my list. Whether alone, together or with Aladdin I hope to see them this year.

Merida
I know what I said about not liking to meet Princesses but she's a fellow redhead, from my neck of the woods and Brave is just the best. I've seen videos of recent interactions with her and she's just wonderful.

Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto
Just like Minnie and Mickey, I'll always cherish any time with the famous five. I've actually never met Daisy either so would love to have the opportunity. Oh my gosh imagine Daisy and Donald together in their Christmas outfits?! SO CUTE. I realllly hope they are around together when we are there but will be equally excited to see Goofy or Pluto.

Jack Skellington
Last but not least the man of Christmas/Halloween himself. Our first meet on our Halloween 2014 trip and one of the loveliness interactions, of course I want another chance to say hello...especially if he's in his Sandy Claws outfit!

Well that escalated! haha I started with like 3 and then couldn't stop writing. With this trip being with friends, I won't be going too much out of my way to meet characters apart from Mickey and anyone I do will be a plus, but these are those who would make me extra happy right now. I know that with the changing seasons the range of characters available to meet will differ however, minus Abu and Genie, I'm sure the majority of these will be doing the rounds this Christmas time.

Until next months countdown post, come have a read of the previous posts in this series -

  1. The Genie would be awesome to meet! I've always wanted to meet Rapunzel and Flynn but didn't get a chance to the last time I was at a Disney park as they were so popular! I think another trip to Disneyland is due...

    1. Aww! I've seen loads of people managing to meet those two together recently, they've never been out when I've been there but my last visit was 2014. I hope you meet them soon!

    1. Right?! She always seems to be having a good day. Unfortunately they seem to have moved the Merida in DLP to the Princess Pavilion instead of outside in Frontierland so I doubt I'll meet her this time.

    1. Aw I think you'll love Jack! He really was fab with Mam and I. I told him I loved him and he was so over the moon haha. Even when you are nervous they are really good to ease the tension and make it easier.

  4. Awww, Merida and Jack Skellington! Those two would definitely be on my to visit list. Jack has been one of my favourite ever since childhood and Merida was one of my favourite princesses from the past couple of years, she's so feisty. - Tasha

    1. Jack is a brilliant meet! He occasionally had Sally with him too but we missed her...which I wasn't too bothered about as she's a bit scary lol. Sad that Merida seems to have been put in the Princess Pavilion now :/ I won't go meet her in there.

  5. You are not counting are you!! (I'm 68 days!), I loved meeting Merida, as a fellow "Scot" and redhead, she was delightful and over the moon when I said my friend had named her baby after her!

On our meet list will be Star Wars - Chewbacca if we can and definitely Mulan, I love her!!

    1. I've been counting since it was over 400 days haha. You will literally be there in no time at all now! I'm sure you'll meet them all no problem. WDW has many more people to meet after all.
