Quarterly Collective Haul // April - June 2016

Quarterly means once every 3 months. A collective Haul is a summary of purchases bought from different places over a period of time. And this, is my second post of it's type this year. As I say each time I do a collective haul, I do them this way as I never buy enough at one time to warrant separate posts.
I do hauls so I can look back on the possessions I've accumulated recently and appreciate them all rather than just forget what I've bought or been given as gifts.
Blah, blah, blah. In no particular order, this is what has joined my household through April, May and June.

Books are something I have a problem with and not a normal problem like the book bloggers who buy loads and loads. I don't buy insane amounts, but I don't read the ones I do... I have books in my cabinet that I've owned for numerous years and I have no idea what they're about. Unrelated to the haul - I am really struggling to read this year. No idea why, I just am. However, that hasn't stopped me picking up a few keepsake/collectible books or other bargains that I will get around to eventually!

The 101 Dalmatians, 1987 print of Treasure Island and The Disney Villian books were all charity shop scores, the first two only £1 each and the latter £3.50. I guess most Disney fans will know about the 'A Whole New World' book, £3.50 from Morrisons!

One that I didn't expect to pick up and is totally random is 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry'. We stayed in a wonderful Inn on the first night of our charity walk and they had a bookcase full of wonderful titles to borrow. I am very much a cover-lover and spotted a crow on the spine of this particular book so decided to read a few pages before bed. Spookily after reading the blurb, it seemed very fitting for our little trip and then within two pages it got eve weirder...my tiny hometown of Berwick Upon Tweed being featured!! I obviously didn't have much time to read but was so intrigued that I picked up a 2nd hand version on Ebay for around £2.70 so that I can give it a go.

If you don't know of my DVD collection building addiction by now, you must be new here..! haha I collect Disney movies and right now am working on my live action collection. It currently stands at about 90 movies so I have a long way to go but these are some that I have picked up recently. All were from either CeX (for between 50p - £1) or local charity shops (usually £1.50), minus 'The Finest Hours' which I got on release day for £7 and 'A Little Princess' which I picked up at Tesco for £3!

Lastly is a few miscellaneous items!
- Simba crop top, £4. Primark
- Alice 'Bonkers' tee, £6. Primark
- I Wanna be Like You tank, £7. Primark
- Hakuna Matata tee, £7. Primark.
- Minnie Glasses Case, £2.50. Primark
- Mickey Water Bottle, £8. Disney Store
- Program, Pin & Magnet, Mary Poppins Tour.

My most recent purchases were a couple of magnets from our trip to Kielder and the most awesome camera bag that I hadn't planned on buying. I was just looking around the internet and came across something that would be perfect for my needs so ended up investing. I may do a whole post dedicated to it at some point, we'll see.

That brings us to the end. As always, I know how incredibly lucky I am to ever have a little spare money for little treats no matter how little they cost, and for anything I received from my parents I am forever grateful. You can check out last quarter's post here > Quarterly Collective Haul // January - March 2016. See you with another of these in three months!

  2. That DVD collection is coming along nicely! I love the bag too.

I really wanted to have a look in Primark the other weekend but even though the store has been open for maybe a year now you have to queue up to enter! It's ridiculous and I can never be bothered with the hassle.

    1. Thank you! There were like plain colours or that one and I thought I'd go out on a limb and get that :P

  4. I'm a nightmare for buying books and not reading them. But I also buy A LOT. Like, what I spend the majority of my income on is books. It's so bad. I reckon, at last count, I have about 200 physical books on my shelves that I've not read yet, and about 300+ ebooks. Gah! I love the Disney tees! Primark have some amazing collections out at the moment. I saw The Jungle Book tank top just the other day and thought it was cute! :) x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Oh gosh, I'm glad I'm not like that hahah. I don't get much spare money after bills etc anyway, just whatever I make from Etsy, so that's lucky or I'd probably buy more.
Do you get to read a lot?

I dunno how much I actually like the Jungle Book top now lol. I've had it one like once.
