Quarterly Collective Haul // July - September 2016

After putting together the post for each quarter I always tell myself I'll keep up with it better and add to it each month to make it easier for myself. Then it gets to the month of posting and I have to think back and raid the house for any bits I've bought so I can photograph them and put the post together. Here is hoping the next few months I take my own advice. The next one shouldn't be too big as there will be a separate haul from Disneyland and that will be the majority of my purchases!
Anyway, here is the list of items that have come into our home between July and September.

DVDs. Of course, the majority of these were second hand and therefore super cheap. The only new ones were the Jungle Book and Lion Guard which totalled like £11, the pre-loved ones are usually between 50p and £2.00 though usually the lesser of the two which is cool.
Other media item's I've picked up are just a couple books. The Secret Garden and Black Beauty from the charity shop for £1.50 each and Fairest of them All & Beast Within for around £3 each!

I kind of knew that I'd end up buying more of this category in this quarter (especially the tail end of) what with a Disney trip coming up. I recently went through all my Disney clothing and although I have over 40 t-shirts, 10 hoodies/crews and lots more, most of it wasn't suitable for what I wanted during a winter DLP visit, but I happily scored some absolute bargains from Uniqlo, a mens jumper and a kiddies shirt, both of which fit me haha. I also picked up a holdall from Primark instead of buying a new suitcase and it fits everything I need which is fab. The khaki jeggings and plain long sleeved T's Mam bought me from Next for our trip and accessory wise the Disney Couture necklace was a surprise 5th-anniversary gift from Jake, the other two necklaces and ring were a random, last minute purchase from Alice Vitrum on Etsy!

Lastly, I need to mention the amazing prize I won from the super generous Fiona! I never win anything so was over the moon to be told Dory, Nemo and Squirt were on their way to join our Disney soft toy family. Thank you again, Fiona, they are very happy here ;)

I'd love to see what you have been given or have bought recently so leave any haul post links in the comments. As a reminder, these posts are for my own reference to look back on and see when I got certain things as well as take stock each month or two to make sure I am continuously grateful for everything I am lucky enough to have.

  2. What a great haul - I love the fashion items especially. That holdall is so cute! And the Disney Couture necklace? I love it! What's The Lion Guard; is it some kind of sequel to/remake of The Lion King? I've never heard of it before! My latest haul post, if you have time to check it out, is all about the lovely presents I received for my birthday! http://www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk/2016/09/birthday-haul-post.html :) x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Thank you! Like I said in the post, it's not often I buy clothes or accessories so it's nice to have a few new bits for DLP. It's a TV series with new characters in and the DVD is of the TV movie that was released alongside the series.
I'm super behind with reading blog, but I'll pop over now! :)

  4. So many DVD bargains! It's amazing that they can be so cheap sometimes. I think I need to pick up some more long sleeve tops, I have just the one at the moment and would like another one to replace my stripy one that I had to get rid of.

Have you read The Secret Garden? It's a really good story, I really enjoyed it on Audiobook.

    1. Right?! I get so excited about them. Especially the rarer ones to find. I'm to the point where a lot of the ones I really need are so rare that they're £25+ on Amazon haha, and that's 2nd hand!
Yeah, these were like 2 for £12 or something from next and seem really nice quality. Just to pop under my clothes at DLP so I don't need a giant coat on all the time.

I haven't but I've seen the movie a zillion times so I hope it's even better.

  5. I still swoon each time I see that Simba necklace, it's so pretty and I adore Black Beauty. To this day it's one of my favourite books and the film always makes me cry. Love the other pieces of Disney jewellery you got too, the Dumbo ring is so cute! Love your DVD collection too, it reminds me that I really need to start to rebuild my collection. I hardly have any now as I always end up renting films digitally on Amazon. Is Tuck Everlasting a good one? I keep seeing it around and I haven't watched it yet. Love your Finding Dory plushies you won too, so cute. - Tasha

    1. Isn't it lovely? I haven't read/seen it forever so look forward to re-reading it at some point. I find that you can often find great DVDs cheaper at CeX than what you would pay to rent them on Sky or download online and stuff. Tuck is really good actually, I highly recommend! Thank you :)

    1. Oh I didn't realize it was an American brand! There isn't as big of a range as I bet there is over there but there are some pretty cute things.

      Thank you!
