OOTD // Hidden Mickey (and Minnie)

In a 'community' saturated with beautiful people, many who make their money from looking amazing promoting clothes and makeup, I feel even more rubbish about my looks every day. Literally, every single day I wish I was better looking - didn't have wonky teeth, bad skin, bald patches in my hair and chunky legs. That being said I also don't leave my house much or see many people so it really doesn't matter in real life. However, it is why I have struggled to take outfit photos recently.
I love to share the normal, casual style that I dress in, so that other bloggers know not everyone dresses like perfect models, as well as show how I incorporate Disney into my daily 'fashion', hence trying to push on.
You'll probably say the above points aren't true (as far as you can see from my photos) and that's where I will answer yet again with 'they are photoshopped'. I made a whole video about it, back when I was making videos, because it is always so frowned about but think what you want. Yes I edit out my dermatillomania face damage and embarrassingly showing scalp. That's how I deal with it.

That is my long way of telling you why I look so awkward in this post, urgh haha. Sorry about that!
(The photos were also taken in two different places as I got upset about how I looked in the morning when we first took them)

Can you tell that as soon as Summer disappears I am immediately resembling an arctic explorer?! All of the layers already and it's only gonna get colder...boo! I actually ran a little poll on Twitter a couple weeks back and it turns out over 70% of you crazies prefer cold weather :O I guess I am in the minority but the cold gives me a lot of pain and makes my breathing so much worse, so I'll look forward to the Summer myself haha.
Hope you enjoyed! Expect me to just be rolled in like 20 blankets next OOTD post ;)

  1. I love all of the nods to Disney and the photos of those gorgeous autumnal leaves and the adorable robin - beautiful! When I started reading this post I felt for you lovely as I think a lot of go through the same thing, especially when you see how 'good' other peoples lives appear to be via social media and blogging - it can definitely distort things, and while I know my words won't have much of an impact, I love your sense of style - in a sea of people who look so glamorous, it's refreshing and comforting to see more outfits like these, because this is how I dress and you inspire me to strive for what I like in my own personal style and I think you always look nice. Have a lovely weekend! - Tasha

  2. The Mickey shoes are so adorable! I appreciate that you share your "normal" clothing on your blog. I dress in a similar way (although I don't own any Disney clothes anymore) so it's nice to see a style I can relate to.

I'm also baffled by the results of that poll. I prefer warm weather hands down, especially in recent years since I was diagnosed with anemia and suspect thyroid issues as well. I get cold so easily and nothing makes me happier than a warm, sunny day.

    1. I love them. Vans is pretty much the only shoe brand I wear so it was cool when they brought out Disney ones. Thank you! I just think being warm and comfortable is so much more important than looking trendy haha. I'm glad other people relate to that.

Crazy isn't it? I seriously couldn't believe it. I have pretty bad anemia too! As well as arthritis so I'm forever freezing and super sore in winter. We all need to move to somewhere where it's always summer haha.

  3. Girrrl I feel this so bad. I used to love putting outfit posts together but now feel they're just not good enough, so I don't enjoy the process anymore. And I rarely wear make up anymore and hate the dermatillomania scabs and scars on my face too, I totally know how you feel *hugs*. I'm too lazy to photoshop anything though :P

I love seeing your casual outfit posts, and I rarely read or like outfit posts ;) yours are probs my fave tbh! xo

    1. It's so nice to know someone understands where I'm coming from! (Not that I want anyone to feel that way obviously). I think it's more noticeable on ourselves than others looking from their perspective because every photo I've seen of you is beautiful.

Thanks so much, that means a lot :)

  4. You know when we go to Disney I'm expecting head to toe Disney-wear for the entire week! I'm not sure I own anything Disney, I will have to look in my drawers... I'm going to need something Disney to wear to get into the spirit of the trip!

I love your comfy style! But I'm with you on the other outfit posts that I see... I'm pretty sure people just wear these things for the post and not really in real life.

    1. My 'whats in my luggage' post goes up on Friday so you'll soon see ;) Oh, I'll have to have a look and see if I can get you something! Not everyone wears Disney stuff though so you won't stand out or anything haha

Thank you :) I very much agree.
