2016 Seasonal Decor

If it weren't for tradition and having done this same post for the past four years, I wouldn't be doing it this year but I'm sure I'll thank myself in years to come when I'm looking back on it. I say this because my decor has not really changed in the past year or so due to a few reasons and so if you saw the previous years posts it won't be interesting at all haha. I've also come to the realization that spending a lot of money on decor that only gets to be on show for one month of the year can be a tad excessive when you don't really have much money ;)
Blah, blah, blah here are my Christmas 2016 Decorations!

Some of these photos were taken on different days and in different lights hence the wallpaper seeming like a chameleon. It's nothing fancy but I like it and like I say, it's up for less than a month! Maybe next year it'll be the same decor in a different room. I'd love to see your decor if you have photos to share and I hope you've had a lovely festive season if you celebrate it. It is a hard time for many of us so my love to those who struggle throughout December. <3

  1. Love your decorations! We didn't put a whole lot up this year (makes it easier to take it all down haha) I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! :)

  2. Gorgeous photos, as always :) looks so cosy and Christmassy! I think I'll collect Christmas decorations over the years, it's nice to slowly build up a collection with various memories attached to different pieces :)

    1. Ah thank you, they were just quick snaps but they make the decor look a bit better than it did in person :P I do the same! :) I get a couple most years and always a Disney one. The blue bauble with the bear cubs was my one from DLP this year and the tartan J, D & B were new too :) (They should have been like £6 but I picked them up as they were marked down to £2 each).

    1. Doesn't it?! Would you believe it's actually from Disney Store in 2013?
Thank you :) Me too. I especially love seeing photos/videos of big traditional US Christmases. Hope you guys had a lovely one.

  4. I love your decor. The Merry Christmas sign is lovely, simple and elegant.

As you, I use the same decor each year, more or less. We bought an artificial tree 4 years ago and it's unlikely we are going to change it, we have the same baubles. This year I got a couple of garlands and we are going to use them every year. The same applies to the stockings. I don't see any point in changing them each year, if they look beautiful.

    1. Ah thank you Anca :) It's all very affordable too so I'm glad it doesn't look to tacky :P

Yes! I have no idea how long I've had my tree now but it's been since I lived at home so at least 6 years. No need to get a new anything unless it's broken. Oh I'd love some nice garlands eventually, they are very pretty.

  5. It looks so festive!!

I still have Halloween stuff out. I don't any place to storage things in my room or closet, so everything just stays out which as long as nothing gets ruined I'm perfectly okay with that! :)

    1. Thank you :)

Oh I like that idea! It would be my ideal world to leave my Halloween decor up all year haha.

  6. Oh I loved this post, there are so many cute bits and pieces here, and it all looks so cosy too. I love your Dumbo plush, of course, and the bauble with the 3 bears from Brave is so, so cute! Merry Christmas lovely! <3 - Tasha

  8. Wow, can I come live with you in December? Haha. The only nod to Christmas in our house was a Santa Christmas tree ornament hung on our fireplace and a few Christmas cards dotted around. We didn't even have a tree. I was just really not feeling Christmas this year, and last year our cat ate the tree and we had a huge vets bill to stop him being sick :( x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Haha! You can :D But we aren't festive AT ALL despite the decor. I didn't even want it up this year but pushed through to try and make myself get in the spirit...it didn't work. Oh no! Yeah I'd much rather sacrifice the tree if it meant preventing vet trips. Poor thing. I'm so lucky Baker stays away from it all.
