Our Unexpected Fort

A couple months ago Jake got a new recliner chair, after the second-hand sofa we've had for like 4 years finally broke, and it came in a huuuggee box! Instead of breaking it up right away, I decided Baker and I should have a little fun first and I grabbed some blankets and pillows and we had a bit of a cuddle.

Baker was being so cute and stuff that I thought I'd take some photos, then I cosied down first with book, then with my laptop to blog for a while. We actually spent the majority of the evening in there and Jake thought I was crazy haha. Here's just a quick couple photos from our time playing in the little box fort and a few days later demolishing it!

Not a super long post for today but I wanted to share the photos on here for the memories and so you can all 'aww' at Baker haha! Hope you enjoyed and I'd love to hear your fort stories :P

  1. This is such a cute idea! I want a fort to hang out in. I lol'ed when I saw how it ended, he looks like he's having the time of his life ripping that into tiny pieces.

    1. Thank you! I love a good fort. He loves to rip things up, especially junk mail and boxes but won't go near anything unless I tell him to.

  3. Aww this is so cute! Baker looks like he had as much fun demolishing the fort as he did playing in it! My cat has a fort on the sofa. Three cushions in a pile in the middle of the sofa and a blanket flung over the back and going down over the pillows and onto the floor. He often curls down in there and goes to sleep. If I ever can't find him, I know where he'll be! x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Thanks :D He loved the whole thing. I was gutted to have to break it down and put it in the recycling bin but it was taking up half the kitchen lol. Aw that's so sweet! Cats tend to like little spaces like that it seems.

  6. Awww, baker is just too cute, and I love the fact you used this box to keep you both happy for a little while before you got rid of it. Great way to re-use a big cardboard box like this and I love how excited Baker looks in the last few photos - too cute! - Tasha

    1. Thank you! I think everyone loves a good cardboard box! He won't destroy anything until he's asked to do so, so he was a little sad that we were breaking it apart until he realized it was fun.
