A Year of Sky 2

Way back in September of 2015 I shared this 'A Year of Sky' post, full of photos I'd taken throughout my project 365 of our beautiful sky. The sky mesmerizes me with how completely unique and abstract it is, never the same two days in a row. It's been a lot longer than I thought since I compiled that last post and I really wanted to make it an annual thing so here is the next part of a year of sky...

Hope you enjoyed seeing the sky from my eyes. I'd love to know which photo above you liked and would also really like to see any sky photos you've taken, so link them in the comments below!

  1. Beautiful photos, Danielle! My favourite? The moon shot right at the end. I'm fascinated by the night sky - I grew up in a huge city where there were no stars. When I moved to the middle of nowhere (well, it felt like it was the middle of nowhere, at least) and first looked up I was amazed. All the stars, the brilliant white bright moon. I love the night sky now. x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

    1. Thank you!
Aw yes, another thing that makes me hate cities. Not that I get to see the stars often as I'm in bed before they come out, but they are amazing. I'd love to be able to spot all the constelations etc. They have an amazing observatory at Kielder which I need to visit on our next trip there.

  2. These are all so pretty!! Love the one of the moon, but really liked the one where the sky has a little yellow on the left and then swirling blue the other side - really beautiful! :) Tania Michele xx

    1. Thanks so much! It doesn't look real does it?! These are barely edited too so it was just like that in the sky after a storm. Really surreal.

  3. These photos are phenomenal. I love that the sky is every changing and can be so different from one minute to the next. The range of colours and hues are amazing and you've captured it so well. I love the contrasting silouettes and the reflections in the water. I will never tire of seeing a sunset photo!

  5. I adore this post Danielle, it's like slipping into a beautiful dreamscape looking at these photos. The colours are gorgeous, and the silhouettes of the trees, buildings and birds against the skyline are beautiful and I love the different states of the sky you captured, just beautiful. Definitely one of my favourite posts from you! - Tasha
