Weekly Wondering // Week 13

Hello again. For the explanation of what is going on here, please do click here and have a quick read.
Other than that, in short, I am answering 7 of these 365 thought provoking questions each week until I complete the year. I already did this in 2013 and am revisiting them to compare my answers.

What do you have that you cannot live without?

When you close your eyes what do you see?

What sustains you on a daily basis?
Oxygen. Goodness me, these questions aren't very thought provoking this week!

What are your top five personal values?
Kindness/Compassion, Honesty, Modesty,  Authenticity, Individuality.  I've read other people's lists and been surprised at how few include any of the same words as my list! Not to sound horrible, but many seem pretty superficial, valuing success and confidence etc. I am much more in awe and appreciative of kind people than successful ones....just me?

Why must you love someone enough to let them go?
You mustn't. But if you do, I suppose it's because surely if you love someone that much, you want them to be happy and do whatever they need to to be happy. Including letting them go galavanting.

Do you ever celebrate the green lights?
I have no idea what this means. Was this list of questions compiled by an American? Does this mean something in the US? Does anyone know what it means???

What personal prisons have you built out of fears?
Oh gosh, technically my whole life is a prison - my street most of all. I rarely leave the house alone, apart from work in the early mornings and I'm home before most people are out and about. Otherwise, if I go somewhere it's with someone else due to my fear of particular, my neighbours and other places I avoid altogether.

Make sure to look back on this same post from 2013 here, and see the differences in my answers! (I completed writing this before checking back to my old answers by the way). You can also see the series in whole from last time here and of course last week's Weekly Wondering here

  1. I have no idea what 'celebrating the green lights' is either! Oh, unless its like traffic lights - arriving at a greenlight so you can keep going rather than stopping? In that case I do sometimes have a mini cheer, when I'm in a rush especially!

Kindness is one of the most important and yet undervalued traits a person can have. It's the thing I'm most proud of when I see it in my children.

    1. Oh! I never thought of it that way. I never did much city driving when I had cars so didn't even think of that!

Agreed tenfold! Most importrant trait to pass on to the new generations I think!

  2. I loved your answer to the top five personal values question, I completely agree! I wish people valued compassion as much as they do other traits and things in life, so seeing these kinds of answers on your blog makes me happy! Love this week's photo too, those skies are gorgeous! Not sure what the 'green lights' means either - is it a reference to good things in life or something like that? It does sound American! - Tasha

    1. I thought you would ;)

Thank you! I always just take them from the previous week's project 365 photos haha!
      It's a weird one eh? I guess it'll remain a mystery :P
