What to get the person who has everything? Something for someone else! (Or something that benefits someone else...)
It's been a long, long, long time since I've done any posts like this, years in fact. However, I've found so many amazing things online over the last few months that I wanted to share them. Anything here would make a fantastic Christmas alternative to wine and chocolates or a high street gift voucher, but are also brilliant to give for all occasions. This holiday gift guide is a little different to a lot you might find floating around just now. These are gifts that give.
Liberty United - Guns & Ammunition Transformed Into Accessories, Helping Educate/Protect Children from Gun Violence
Landfill Dogs Book - Beautiful Portraits of Shleter Dogs, Helping Dogs at Friends of Wake County Animal Center
Organic Shirt / Hand Printed Scarf - 'Where Does it Come From?' Ethical Gift with Fully Traceable History
Gift of a Gift
So okay, this isn't just for the people who have everything or are hard to buy for, but anyone at all. I would be over the moon to recieve any of these as presents - to me there is no better gift than the gift of giving and knowing you are making a difference, no matter how big or small, somewhere in the world. As you'll have noticed many of the options I have given are animal/wildlife focused but if you have a specific favorite charity then please do make sure to visit their website and see if they have an online store! If they do I would love to know so leave the name of the charity in the comments below.
Remember, smaller charities and local run shleters, rescues, soup kitchens, etc etc etc ALWAYS need the extra help. A great way of giving to them is seeing if they have an amazon wishlist and buying a few bits from there, or if they don't put together a nice little hamper of things you know they need and drop it off. (See here for an example of one gift box my Mam and I made up).
There we have it, a little bit of a different gift guide that I hope you will consider when choosing gifts this year. Or for treating yourself to be fair haha...I sponsor an animal with Born Free and have done it as a gift previously too which is one of my personal faves and especially fun for kiddos!
Let me know what you think!!
