Hello, new Sunday series!! How has it already been over 52 weeks since I restarted Weekly Wondering?! Craziness. Anyway, I've had this idea stowed away in my head for some months now but it was only at the back end of December that I decided to use it as my new Sunday spotlight and I couldn't be more excited for this little journey, back through the lens.
Over the past 5-8 years, I have attempted to take part in a little photo project called Project 365. Project 365 is simply taking a photo every day, for 365 days (1 year). In 2013 I successfully completed it for the first time...and I just didn't really stop. Now I have 5 full years of photo memories to look back on and wanted to share a few here to reminisce. So here it is, week 1 of Back Through the Lens!
January 3rd, 2013.An amazing experience photographing a young roe deer in the Northumberland National Park with my college friend Sophie. We had been in the bird hide for a while then decided to head around the track when we spotted two babies off to the right hidden among the bushes, but once we continued on this beauty ran right out in front of us from the left. He stopped to pose long enough for me to get one snap and then disappeared. Magical!
Week 1 January 2014.In 2014 I for some silly reason decided to just do project 52 rather than project 365 meaning I only have 1 photo each week, not 7, to choose from! This was from the first time I decided to take stock of my 'Disney collection'.
January 1st, 2015.The very first page of my very first photographic calendar, fully done by me. It was a huge goal of mine to publish my own wildlife calendar and I was over the moon about how many people supported me. I ended up doing this in 2016 & 2017 also. Sadly this year my suppliers put costs up considerably, therefore I'd be making a loss if I ordered to sell at my usual price :(
January 2nd, 2016.Having some super fast shutter fun with Baker in our homes studio! He always has been and always is a proper poser who will sit in front of you until you take his photo if you have a camera out...
January 2nd, 2017.
My first photographed sunrise of 2017!
So what do you think? I am actually really jazzed about this series because I get to rediscover old photos, relive old memories and hopefully make you guys smile with some cute animals and more along the way! Tell me if you have ever taken part in project 365, how you kept up with it and if you have any blog posts to share, as always, please do in the comments :)
To keep up to date with 2018's current project 365 you can check my second blog (and even maybe give it a follow if you like!) by clicking here.
