DLP Details || It's A Small World - Part 1

Welcome to the very first post in a new mini-series - Disneyland Paris Details! This time, as you can see, we are sailing through the water-based, audio-animatronic 'It's A Small World'.
It seems this ride is often met with the 'you either love it or hate it' mentality and although, yes, I agree that for some the sickeningly sweet, repetitive song could drive some to a holiday-long headache, you have to admit that it is still beautifully sentimental, visually stunning and just what we need in the world.
Click this link, sit back, listen and here are the details of It's a Small World...

Wow - right?! This is a ride that you can go through multiple times and still find something new to look and drop your jaw over...like many Disney rides to be fair (hence this series, duh!). While going through my recent photos of It's A Small World since it's refurb in 2015, I realized I had quite a dang few and so have split this into two parts but that monkey up there is a cute face to leave it on this time don't you think? :P

I'd love to know your thoughts on this ride. Are you a lover or a not-so-much-er? Have you ridden it at Disneyland Paris? Or have you taken the trip of enchantment in another country seeing as Disneyland California, Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida, Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland all have their versions too! If you have I'd love to know how they differ and if you have a preference.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to swing back next Wednesday for part 2!

  1. Beautiful photos!!

    I've only been to Walt Disney World, so never ridden 'It's a Small World' in DLP but I absolutely loved it in WDW. It's one of those rides you come off smiling from and keeping thinking (...and singing) about.

      Do you think there are many differences in the WDW one in comparison to DLP?

  2. I absolutley love this, I think this is such a good idea for a little series. It brought back so many memories from my trip a good few years ago. I can't wait for the rest of the series! :)

  3. I love this idea for a series! I've never been on the DLP ride but I've been on the WDW a couple times, it's one of my favourites and they have a lot of similarities, I may even go as far to say that they may be almost identical actually haha. But I wouldn't know for definite until actually visiting DLPs. There is so many beautiful details here that look familiar though and also a few I hadn't picked up myself so it's great to see the ride from another person's perspective :) I love your photography, it really captures the essence of this ride perfectly: bright, cheerful and colourful :D especially love the image of the zebra, rhino and giraffes :)

    1. Thanks so much! I've had great feedback so far, I'm really looking forward to it :D
      Oh really?! I wondered if they made them all pretty similar or a little different. That's cool though!
      I literally find something new to look at that I feel I haven't noticed before, every time I go on this..it's crazy. So, so beautiful.

      You are so kind! Thank you! It's a fun place to photograph especially because of the colours. I adore when the coloured light reflects off the water.

  4. I have a really soft spot for this ride actually - my fist ever trip to Disneyland my daughter was tiny and this was one of the only rides she could go on so we rode it a whole bunch of times while the boys had slightly more grown up fun!
