What I Read in March

I blinked and March disappeared, meaning for the 3rd month of the year I've taken a another step down and not even completed one book for each week of the month...boo! Some reading fan eh? They were 3 good books though, so have a peek below at what they were and what I thought!

The Patchwork Girl of Oz by L. Frank Baum
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2nd - 6th
Loved, loved, loved. I am getting so boring talking about any books in this series because my thoughts are pretty much the same for each of the stories. Alongside the Narnia series, this is definitely my favourite book series I've read - even more so when reading as an adult. At this point, I have reached halfway through the Oz books and have decided to have a tiny break to make them last longer haha!

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
7th - 14th
In the lead up to Disney's latest live-action release, 'A Wrinkle in Time', I wanted to read the original story. I really enjoyed the overall plot, felt connected to the characters and am looking forward to reading the rest of the quintet...but the ending could have been more drawn out for me, it just felt like it ended too soon and needed more.

Harry Potter: Magical Places from the Films by Jody Revenson
 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
 Feb 7th - 25th March
In my quest to 'cover to cover' my big books collection - as in large hardback Harry Potter & Disney books - I had to get back into it this month seeing as February was Oz heavy. I did actually start this in early February and read the first 30 pages before shelving it until the 24th of Feb when I read another 80 pages. I finished the remaining 100 or so pages on the 25th of March when I wasn't doing too well and just wanted to lay on the sofa reading.
It was good! Hence the 4 stars, but like the Creature Vault, I just love behind the scenes anything.

Well dang it, my worst month so far with only 3 books...hmm. I started off the year well and let it dwindle a bit, but life gets in the way sometimes doesn't it? I have 3 on my TBR list for April, plus I have a week off work so I'm telling myself now that I must read at the very least those 3!
Keep up with what I'm reading by checking out my Goodreads page here and let me know in the comments what you have been reading lately. I'd love to hear about anything you've been particularly enjoying.

  1. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I love behind the scenes things anyway, but especially when it comes to Harry Potter! I haven't even heard of that book before now though so I'm going to go and check it out online! :)

  2. I second Julia, I've never heard of those books but I definitely need to go find them haha! You've introduced us to something vital! I read 4 books in March, the best of which was probably The Muse by Jessie Burton, I'd really recommend it! Just followed you on Goodreads haha :) Great post lovely! x

    1. Seriously?! I thought everyone knew about them lol. I've had them sat on my shelves for years and not gotten around to reading them properly.
Yass 4 books! 1 per week is so good. Oh, Jessie Burton, is that who wrote The Miniaturist? I heard a lot about that book but have too many others on my TBR pile haha. Awesome! Thanks so much :)
