3 weeks & 3 days
Oh my goodness...24 days? Like, literally less than a month. Despite looking like a year in advance, these trips always creep up super fast and then disappear in the blink of an eye. I know every time I mention this holiday, in general, I go on and on about it being an extra special one because Dad is coming, but it really is and so I have high hopes and wishes for what these 5 short days will be.
Here is my Bucket List for our visit!
Photograph Our Hotel
I always try to do this, sometimes it happens to be more than others, but this time it needs to be extensive because a) I won't be staying there again and b) the Hotel New York is obviously getting a big renovation done so won't be looking like itself for much longer!
Go on Panoramagique
Hasn't this been on the past 3 DLP bucket lists or something? Haha well seeing as last time Kerri was there with me it was like being in the Arctic I don't think it would have been as enjoyable anyway, so let's try and tick it off on a sunny day.
Castle Family Portrait
Despite the number of visits I've had, I'm sad to say that I still don't have a photo of myself that I like in front of our breathtaking castle! But I tell you what, I'll be standing there for 3 hours if that's what it takes to get a nice photo of myself and a one of Mam, Dad and I.
Eat at 2 New Places
I'd like to think that I've eaten at a fair few places over the two parks and Disney Village, considering my eating habit limitations. There is on, in particular, I'd love to do purely for what is inside said restaurant, though there is litterlly not one item on the menu I can eat. However, there are also a couple that has been closed when I've visited during different seasons or I just haven't had the chance to experience yet, so they are 100% on the to-do list this time around.
Use Our Pool
I am one of those people that like to use EMH every day and stay until the parks close every night. A hotel is just to sleep in and have breakfast in my eyes because I don't want to waste precious time that could be spent in the parks when I don't visit multiple times a year.
That being said, I do try to experience the facilities in my hotel. When I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel we spent an evening in the sauna, steam room and swimming pool. When in Sequoia Lodge we went for a night time dip in the pool before bed. And so at some point, I want to have a go in our pool at the New York!
'Listen in' at Market House Deli & New Century Notions
Something I have meant to do for a long time but never quite gotten around to (aka have always forgotten!). Little hidden details like this are totally what give me life!
Shoot a Cool Video
I have a video that I edited togehter from the old video camcorder footage of our 1990 trip, in 2014 (Mam and I's first visit together since 1990) I made the one below and this time I am set on making something super special to remember all the details forever. I'd love to try and get a few tiny clips of myself interacting with the characters as I don't have anything like that...I don't like to have myself on photo or video but for extra magical moments like these, I'll make an exception.
There we go! Another in the Countdown to Disney series done and dusted. It's insane to think that in just over 3 weeks we will be there and all of my plans will be over before they've even started haha. Planning really is my favourite part of a Disney trip.
From what I can remember I think there is only one more countdown scheduled which will be the 'What's in My Luggage' post.
See ya real soon!
